DIY SHELF With Peg Rail TUTORIAL- small kitchen/dining room storage solutions. Adding function
Beginner friendly DIY shelf with peg rail tutorial. Great storage solution for small spaces.
When I looked into shelf rails, I was shocked at how much it would cost to do these three shelves. I started looking into some other budget friendly options, and I’m happy with what I was able to do! The supplies cost $32, which is about 1/10th of what metal shelf rails would have cost. I did already have the tools, so I didn’t factor those into the cost. The hardest part was drilling the holes in the pegs - make sure you go slow, start with a small drill bit and work up to the size of the...

How you can get the pottery barn finish
video credit: How I got the looks and supplies used: ⬇️ 1. Start by cleaning the surface with a TSP degreaser to remove any dirt or grease. I like to use crud cutter cleaner. 2. Sand the surface with 220-grit sandpaper to smooth it out. 3. Apply a water-based primer, such as one from Kilz, using a paint roller or spray can. 4. Once the primer is dry, paint the surface in your chosen neutral beige color. Sherman Williams stone lion in a satin finish. 5. After the paint has dried completely, apply a glaze from Rustoleum in Java Brown using a chip brush, spreading it thinly. 6. Use a large deck brush to spread out the glaze evenly. 7. For added texture, use a hand held broom spreading in the direction of the grain. #furnituremakeover #potterybarnfinish #furnitureflip #dressermakeover #bedro

How to Refinish Furniture Without Sanding
Restore A Finish for the win! 🤩 I had all intentions of sanding this cutie little dresser down and refinishing it but decided to give this magical liquid a try first. I’m still shocked at how well it worked! I already loved the color and this allowed me to eliminate the scratches and stains while keeping all the old charm and character intact 😍 Steel wool works best for the deeper scratches and stains (grade 0000) and an old rag works great for the rest! I’m going to seal it using Howard’s Feed N Wax next to make sure this beautiful new finish lasts! Do you have any furniture you’d want to try this on??
