Tale of a Wizzard—inbetween worlds

is a 2D RPG with a randomly generated world that takes you on a journey of a mage that has passed away and now stands between life and death. Your quest is to get to the afterlife, but that is not easy, and you must complete some difficult trials to deserve entrence.

The game is an RPG, so as is standard, you have your inventory full of gear that you have to find or buy to get stronger. You also have your skills that you have to work on. Skillpoints are gained by leveling up or by reading.

Since you are a wizard, you also have your spells that you can learn and then upgrade. Spells are crucial for the in-game fighting.

In the game, you can meet many people that are stuck in the same situation as you. Some of them will just stand there; some may need your help with something, and some can sell you some stuff. The game also has potion-brewing mechanics and enchanting mechanics.

As was said before, the world between life and death is randomly generated; some types of rooms are completely random, from the walls to everything inside, and some are randomized only in some parts. Most of the stuff you come by is as random as one could expect in the spiritual realm. Enemies of this world are spawned randomly as well, but stronger ones appear later and in bigger numbers. This randomness adds lots of replayability. I personally finished the game about three or four times, and every run was different; I found different gear, had different spells, and so on.

There are a few smaller and three main bosses that you have to defeat to deserve your eternal peace. You can choose from normal difficulty and hardcore one (which deletes your save when you die). Do you think that you can do it?
