Partition of 1947 remains a watershed in the history of subcontinent with its long term effect in... more Partition of 1947 remains a watershed in the history of subcontinent with its long term effect in the political scenario of South-Asia as it changed the whole geo-political scenario with a lifetime psychological and emotional effect within the mind of those millions displaced people. There is a huge proliferation of studies regarding the course of partition and its after effect but studies on the violent experience faced by the common people have remained quite few. Though there is a number of scholarship have come up regarding the voices of partition from the initiative of subaltern school, along with its effect on women or children or to the vulnerable people have been discussed by the feminist historiography of India. Though there is a very lack of feminist writing in Pakistan about its effect on women and other vulnerable people as they have much more conservative environment according to Rabia Uamr Ali 1 but there is also a surprising silence in Indian feminist historiography about the violence perpetrated against Muslim women during this time. Partition displaced almost 12-15 million people along with 1 million lost their life and almost one million women faced the violence of rape, abduction, mutilation where the number of Muslim women remained high. 2 Violence against women remains a popular part of violence in history as the so called vulnerable section of society always becomes the easy target to achieve victory or even taking revenge.
