概要
| 解説 |
Description : An illustration of principles of omni- uni- and 8-figure- microphones. Author : Uploder, myself. Only one side of the diaphragm of the omnidicrectional microphone can be pressed. Therefore it picks up change in the prssure of the surrounding air. If it is small enough (in reference to the wavelength), the angle of diaphragm makes no difference in sensitivity. In 8-figure bidirectional microphone, both sides of the diaphragm are open to air. Therefore it is driven by the gradient of sound pressure (i.e. the volocity of the medium). If sound wave comes from the direction parallel to the diaphragm, the diaphragm is pressed equally from both sides, resulting no response. Unidirectional microphone works as a mixture of both types of microphone. The diaphragm is pressed mainly from front of the microphone but is also pressed partially from back of the microphone. |
