Therefore, the relationship between socioeconomic status and safety behaviors is not far-fetched. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of socioeconomic status on safety behavior in workers of the subway construction project in Qom, Iran. Materials and Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted on workers of the subway construction project in Qom in 2020. The sample size was determined by a census of 200 people based on the study criteria. Socioeconomic status and safety behavior questionnaires were subsequently completed for the participants. The data were extracted and analyzed by SPSS software (version 21) after completing the questionnaires. Results: The results of the study revealed no significant relationship between the level of education and safety behavior (P-value> 0.05); however, a significant relationship was observed between that and safety compliance (P-value= 0.006). No significant relationship was discovered between the type of employment and socioeconomic status (P-value=0.008). Also, No significant relationship was found between economic status with safety observation, participation, and behavior (P-value> 0.05). Conclusion: The results of the present study indicated no significant relationship between socioeconomic status and compliance, participation, and safety behavior of individuals. Organizational, cultural, and individual factors affect safety and safety behavior along with socioeconomic status. No relationship was observed between socioeconomic status and employee safety behavior which can be attributed to coverage of other factors that failed to be examined in this study.

Considering the importance of identifying the factors affecting the survival of cirrhosis patients after transplantation in order to improve the health of these patients and increase their longevity, this study was conducted to fit the best accelerated failure time model for survival analysis of cirrhosis patients. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted by collecting the information about 563 patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent liver transplantation in Imam Khomeini Hospital during 2002-2013 and were followed up for at least 5 years. The data were analyzed using Chisquare test, ANOVA, and Kaplan-Meier non-parametric method as well as exponential Accelerated Failure Time, Weibull, Log-Normal, and Log-Logistic survival models. Results: During the study, 92 (16.3%) of the 563 patients under study died and 165 (29.3%) of them suffered liver transplant rejection. The...

Background: H. pylori is the major causal factor in chronic gastritis. Its acquisition leads to a chronic, usually lifelong, inflammation of the gastric mucosa, which may gradually progress to atrophy with intestinal metaplasia in a significant proportion of infected individuals. Patients and methods: H. pylori and intestinal Metaplasia data among 14,860 consecutive gastritis patients, who referred to the gastrointestinal department of Tehran’s Taleghani Hospital in Iran from 2008 to 2014, was examined by sex and age group. The patients were divided into six age groups (16-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50-60 and >70). The chi-square test was used to compare the qualitative variables. Results: The overall prevalence rate among patient with H. pylori infection was 83.5% (12406/14860) ...

This study aimed to identify the factors affecting the event time of neuropathy incidence in diabetic patients using cure models. Material and Methods: For data collection, all the patients whose diabetic screening tests conducted by the Fereidounshahr Health Centers and were negative in 2006, but were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus in 2007 through rescreening and were at least 30 years of age were enrolled in the study, and their neuropathy status was monitored for at least ten years. Mixture and non-mixture cure models were used for data analysis, and the survival-specific receiver operating characteristic curve was also used to compare the efficiency of the models. Results: Of the 371 diabetic patients, 257 were females (69.3%), and 178 (47.97%) had a family history of diabetes mellitus. Having fitted the exponential ...
