Did you work in a team?
All me baybeeee

Also themes (didn't see where else to put it):
Plants as tools inspired the berry shaped power-ups.
Ace in the hole inspired the golf.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I initially was unsure if Unity would play nice with a lower resolution, and sure enough it had its ups and downs. Not only did I use a render texture at 64x64 but I also locked most sprites (and camera) to a grid to keep up the illusion.
Specifically I found that unity didn't like when I adjusted those sprites while the ball was supposed to be stuck to a wall for example lol

What did you learn?
I had used a shader to do a low res look before but never knew how easy it could've been with a render texture. Also found that maybe I shouldn't count on unity's collisionExit function to execute state changes consistently, cost me like two days lol

Wow. At first I thought I stuck on the first mission. But I gave it a try and not regret this )

Awesome game!
