Phenomenal level of polish and very creative implementation of the theme. Randomization as a mechanic is so easy to be frustrating, but being able to loop through the attacks rapidly - and the fact that they were all both useful and fun (bonus for great sfx for each) makes it very satisfying to see them all in use.

The gameplay loop ramps up nicely towards that "enemy melting" phase that become more and more fun to play, and the way the upgrades work made me want to keep seeing all of the different dice I could get, and also how large the bullets could become. Bonus points also towards making you choose "dice" or "stat" before you can see which dice are available.

As others have pointed out, the one "balance" issue is you quickly realize you can rapidly spam attacks and basically never lose (though I see in one of your comments, you've already addressed a fix for this). But for 48 hours, this is absolutely a solid foundation for a real game worth paying for. If this is not in the top 100 I will be very surprised. Excellent job!

Thank you for the kind words Damon! So glad you enjoyed it. Now that the jam is over, we're hoping to get a big update to the game out soooooon!

My favorite entry of the jam. It's so polished, so enjoyable, immersive... Amazing job! Hope you win.

love it

Wow, this feels like a fully released game, not a jam game.
The art style, the music, and the feedback are all excellent.
The level and upgrade systems are also well done.

I ended up trying to make my bullets bigger and bigger :P
Highly rated !

Really good, had fun playing this! Took me a while to figure out what some of the dice did and how to use them (shield and reload in particular) but once I got those sorted out, all the dice felt good to play. Love the visual style, sounds and music! Great job!

Such a polished game is such a short time is absolute madness !

The gameplay feels a bit chaotic and it is too much for me to handle. Still really great submission for the jam.

By far the best one I've seen in the jam yet. Amazing work, it looks and feels great to play, but most importantly fits the theme in a way that isn't boring or unfun, which a lot of the games seem to.

Absolutely cracked presentation - love the visuals, music and feel. Surprisingly deep gameplay too, having to work with your action dice rolls but having a lot of control over how you use what you're given. Could lose myself in this one for hours.

Amazing and really creative game with a unique take on the theme. Although at first it may feel a bit confusing and hard, after you get used to the mechanics this game becomes really fun and enjoyable to play. Also I love the design, especially the music, I feel like I could listen to it for hours at a time. Astonishing work!

Great submission. The music is definitely a highlight, and the art is fantastic (love the palette).

Gameplay is fun, although I did find it a bit overwhelming with lots to keep track of initially. I'm not sure I understood what impact the dice upgrade has on the game, and would definitely have liked to see a way for the player to have some agency over the dice rolls.

Good job on such a polished experience!

The game is really good) I am impressed with every part of the submission - Art/Music/Concept are perfect and it is so well-polished!

NIce job!

Very well executed game, could see this doing well as is, with little change. Very satisfying attacks, movement, sound, etc. Only thing I would have liked was a quick explanation of what the different attacks did! Fantastic game!

Great visuals, fun gameplay, very juicy. 15/15 stars for me.

I really like your presentation and idea! especially the floating head and hands.

the game felt good to play, and felt polished, lots of nice touches, like the camera shake. I think the gameplay is pretty innovative, and felt good to play, with automating the movement and aiming, and just giving a fire button, and a "nudge in some direction" button. I assume the goal of which was to free the player up to look at and strategize around their current dice roll. however...

my main critique is the tuning of the game. in the early levels, I felt like I /could/ strategize around my placement, timing, and decision making based on the current dice roll, but I didn't need to. if I just rapidly clicked on enemies without any thought, I did just fine.

and then, in the later levels of the game, I felt like even if I wanted to, i couldn't successfully strategize, because of how many enemies spawning, just rapidly clicking on enemies, and right clicking on hearts seemed like the best and only option.

I think that leveling up and getting new abilities was a cool idea, but it really made no impact on how I played, just clicking on enemies and hearts as much as possible. it never really seemed to matter what dice was up, or where I was positioned.

I played until level 11, then quit, because I was had been stable at 4-6 hearts the entire time, and the gameplay just got monotonous.

so, I think tuning the enemies to hit harder and/or have less health, and dont let the game get too crowdy in higher levels, would serve the gameplay of actually paying attention to the dice.

but, tuning in a game jam is basically impossible, so, great work over all!

A wonderfully enjoyable and pretty to look at game with a unique way of controlling a top down shooter. Very good! The only thing to criticise is that it got kinda boring after 2000 kills and I was actually not able to die unless I actively did nothing for a long time. Somehow the game doesn't manage to keep itself difficult enough. It was still really fun nonetheless!

very creative, and great to look at. The game mechanic itself is super unique and i dont think ive seen anything else like it during the jam. Really well done.
