How does your game fit the theme?
The theme made me think of a literal pair of scales; the weighing of the heart soon followed. The sizes of the heart and the feather on the scales also physically change.

I like the idea, the narrative is nice and I love the idea on the fact that you had to save yourself too, very nice entry
I really liked it, everything is very interconnected, sound, graphics, gameplay, and the dialogues allow you to immerse yourself and think about a solution, perhaps this is the most unusual thing I saw at the jam
After your very kind comment on my submission I of course could not not not not not not check out your game ;) I love interesting characters and in this short game you managed to give these characters a lot of personality. I enjoyed the writing, which made it easy to immerse myself in the game. It felt like an episode in a longer series of events. The art is super lovely and I love the multiple expressive drawings for the characters. I love the music, especially the theme song. Shame that the levels don't unlock correctly, but doesn't really matter for a game jam game as you can unlock them like you described.
Overall I think this is a well executed concept that I thoroughly enjoyed, it felt immersive and that's one of the characteristics that I look for in a game.
Very charming little game! This was an idea my team considered but we ended up going in a completely different direction, so it's cool to see a game with this concept for the jam! I think I found a bug that stopped the day from ending but up until that point, I had a lot fun with this game. Great work for the time limit!
Now THIS is what I love about itch games. Clever narrative building with witty dialogues. Might need to work on the color palette for a bit because sometimes when it is in dialogue, the color of the characters get mushed together with the background. Very creative take on Anubis. Generally this game really shines in its narrative, really great job on this one! :)
thank you so much! I’ve never done much writing so I’m very happy that folks are enjoying the story :) thank you for the feedback on the art too! I’ll see if I can make the bg darker when characters are talking for a future release.
Cool to see another Egyptian-style game! Very nice take on the theme. The writing is witty and the art style is really charming. Good work!
thank you so much for playing! yes it’s fun to see how folks took the theme in different directions, I’ll give your game a go soon hehe :)
i loved it! the lines were funny and i liked the new mechanics introduced every level.
i unlocked the levels using the guide on the page, level 3 seems to be completely broken,it only plays the beginning dialogue and then nothing happens.
fortunately level 4 works perfectly so you can play with all the mechanics.
also it was fun looking in the files to see all the good\bad lines, the writing is where this game really shines especially all the regret lines those were really good!
Aahh thank you so much!! Can’t believe you got to the end of day 4 haha, I never thought anyone would see that bonus dialogue lol. Thank you so so much for playing & enjoying :)
Nice entry! I really like the collective polish you put into this! The themes 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Really good looking art and fun concept. I liked that saving yourself from being devoured added to intensivity and made dooming people more entising and kept judging quick, to make it easier for player to make mistakes or just doom some poor guy to save yourself. I also encountered bug on day two, but still amazing work with this!
Thank you so much for playing! I’m glad you enjoyed the hunger meter, I thought it’d be a good idea to add some intensity not seen in most papers please-inspired games :)
Ayy another weighing of the heart game! I love it! Really awesome theme (I am biased of course haha)
Honestly so much potential here. The writing was charming and funny, and the art was really nice! Think I ran into a bug where the day never ended but I really enjoyed playing this one, and it left me wanting more. Really great job!
thank you so much for playing man! unfortunately the build we uploaded is a little busted, but I'm glad you enjoyed the first few levels : ) our downloads page has instructions on how to manually unlock all levels if you'd be interested in seeing the other mechanics we added? massively appreciate the feedback either way :D
I'm gonna go check out your heart weighing game now lol
Awesome! I'll have to go back and try that :)
