Interesting trick to have a shooter side scroller that is so strict on time.
The gameplay was alright, although having to click as fast as possible to kill enemies is a bit unfeasible in the later stages, at least to me. On the beginning stages I feel on some spikes and almost died because they seemed to be damaging me multiple times really fast. The enemies do a LOT of damage, felt a bit too punishing.
Visually a cool game, although some enemies clipping on the stage and shaking was a bit jarring.
The sound effects were alright but maybe there could be some more, the shooting was a bit too repetitive.
The tutorial appeared after the first stage for me, after I had already understood the time mechanic, but that is a really minor thing.
All in all, a nice platform shooter that's quite challenging!

Cute idea and a fun play on the saying. Also agree with the others that a cooldown or autofire mode on the gun would have been nice. Seems like some of the later levels are balanced around really spamming shots as quickly as possible. Some of the eye enemies seem to get stuck on walls at times too. The levels felt challenging but not unreasonable. The eye enemies do a lot of damage though (or maybe they get multiple hits? I'm not quite sure what's happening). Overall a cool idea that could use a bit more polish and some more variety to really shine!
The stuck in wall glitch is really annoying and the worst part is I knew about it before submitting. But unfortunately I ran out of time before I could fix it.
Worth the download! Wow! Such unique gameplay with the conundrum of having to decide when to kill enemies (which takes time) to get money (which gives you time)! Tradeoffs, tradeoffs!

Great concept, worked really well! There were lots of interesting risk/reward tradeoffs with the main mechanic of the game. You had to think twice if you wanted to deal with enemies or if you would rather try to run past them and it was interesting to maintain time as well as health. Small note, the gun sound got annoying really quickly and it would have probably been a good idea to have a minimum cooldown between gun shots and then balanced the game around that so you dont have to spam left-click quite as much. Other than that I had a really great time, well done! :)

great game, had a lot of fun, the mechanics were nice, my finger hurts now from shooting so much. maybe an option where you can just hold the left mouse button to shoot would hurt a lot less. i was also not aware that walljumping was a thing .. but i found out at the right moment. great mechanic. the game has a very good difficulty balance and i really loved the short and to the point tutorial at the beginning perfect example of "you can do this - here try."

I feel like the money mechanic could be fleshed out more and the health bar can be reworked or just completely removed. Enemies deal damage too quickly which can be frustrating since you need to kill them to not die. The flying enemy would also get stuck in the walls/ground sometimes too. The camera often hides the ground enemy which was frustrating since I was at low health and couldn't anticipate it coming which lead to me dying and having to restart from the beginning. I see potential in this project, but it needs some more polish to properly function.
Yeah, I am aware of the sticking in wall bug. unfortunately I ran out of time before I could fix it. As for the money mechanic, thanks for the tip. I was planning on doing something about it post jam but not really sure. Thankyou for the feedback. Criticism is truly appreciated
Works pretty well i think, I just ran in a small issues where enemies (the flying mines) would get stuck in the wall, but all around i think it's a pretty solid build with a creative way to create conflict. Good job! :)

Interesting concept, although not sure if it matches the theme a lot. I feel with more thought-out puzzles and gimmicks this could be a fun lil' game.

Interesting idea! Unfortunately, the connection to the theme seems pretty weak (the money really just feels like a standard restart timer), and the lack of music really hurts the overall atmosphere, which is a shame because the core gameplay loop seems pretty entertaining (albeit very unforgiving on some of the levels). Still, there's only so much one person can do in 48 hours while taking care of other school related responsibilities, so good job!

There is this popular idiom that I am sure almost everyone has heard that goes "Time is money". I just reverse it and made it Money is time. When you run out of money in the game, you die

Nice screenshake to impact your bulletshoots! Think opened portal from big round enemy should end the game! Also fun that i have travel backwards to collect money on one of the levels! Great job!
