Hey! This is really cool. The mechanic is really clever and interesting. I appreciate the variety of enemies that are in the game, they all feel different from each other which makes them interesting. I particularly like the AI of the key gators. It took me a sec to realize the map was bigger than one screen, and then I was like whoa...this is actually a good size game, nice. Two small snags I hit: I wish gravity was a little stronger so jumping and falling could be a bit faster. Also there was one spot where I got stuck and couldn't figure out how to respawn (though maybe there was a way to).
Awesome work! Thanks for the fun game :)
I like the main mechanic of killing enemies and stealing their powers, it feels fun!
Also the platforming feels pretty nice and responsive, so kudos on that - it can be pretty tough to get right.
The enemy design is really cool! The map is just a bit awkward. There are some places where you get stuck and can't get back out. It's a lot of fun to test out the different powers and combine them. The laser shark is probably my favourite one.
Yeah... I didn't budget enough time to design a decent level, and didn't playtest it enough, so I didn't catch the holes that are impossible to get out of until after it was already released, oof. I'm planning on fixing it up post-jam.

Pretty neat idea, though I got stuck in the ground for some reason and can't progress. I really wish the enemy can respawn after you die because you lose all your dna. Had to start all over again.
Yeah, the enemies were supposed to function like limited collectibles, although I don't know why you lost DNA upon death... I'll have to look into that. The intended level design was gonna have light puzzle-like elements where in order to find all 10 of the last creature (which didn't make it into the game outside of pressing U to Unlock all the player part), you'd need to use specific combinations to get to each place they were hiding, but I didn't budget enough time for decent level design (which is also why there's at least one inescapable pit I missed until after the submission time).
