I enjoyed this. I'll admit it was a lot easier to control using a stylus to get some precise lines, but it was fun both to win, and to just make some stuff up to shoot the groom around for fun. I may have also drew a rope T-Rex for no reason. This probably isn't a useful comment.
no this is an important comment! Being able to draw a T-Rex in a game is VERY important! thanks for playing! :)
Super cute. I really liked it!
thanks for playing! :) been enjoying your streams all week!
Very cute little game. Really charming.
I think it would add depth if there was a limit on how much rope can you draw or higher score depending on how little you've drawn.
Good job overall!
those are both great suggestions, thanks for playing! :)
I liked the theming a lot, any game that used the theme for more thematic elements instead of just having a physical tether shows a lot of imagination. Having to switch between the screens added some friction to the gameplay that didn't really add to the fun, but it was still very playable and I was able to make it to the end. Nice work!
thanks for playing! :)
Cute, fun, and very original game! I really like it, hope you can make more levels in the future with your own assets and sound. Overall great job!
thanks for playing! :)
This is so so cute, I like the idea, I love this kind of games! Simple and easy to understand. Good Job!
thanks for playing! :)
This was really sweet and made me smile. I just wish there was just something more. Like maybe some kind of story? Maybe the mechanics could be used as a metaphor more? As others have pointed out it would also be nice to be able to delete lines without having to undo them. But overall fun game :)
I would love to add more of a story or different puzzles/mechanics. Just didn't have enough time.
yeah I think a delete function would be useful!
thanks for playing! :)
I'm not really digging the wedding theme but the game was super fun to play.
Sounds were fitting and fun (it's a shame there weren't original content)
Overall it was fun to play.
I would have loved to make my own art/music, but time got the best of me.
I only went with a wedding theme cause I figured that would fit best for "joined together" (and was also hoping no one else would have that concept)
thanks for playing! :)
Simple and fun, but sadly I've seen other similar games, I mean it's not bad that everyone get similar ideas but you know. In the other hand I quite enjoyed this, can't say this is too easy to play since on some levels I was like hmmm but got the hang of the game pretty quickly.
(also note one bug where you can push the groom with your rope when you don't even start the physics engine and the timer for him. You can just push him, if you would have found out about this bug you probably could have use it to your advantage to make it much different, using different tactics to levels and stuff and instead of the timer the rope could be not infinite, in other words, nice game!)
yeah I know the game mechanic is not totally original, but glad it was somewhat enjoyable still!
I am aware of the bug, wasn't intentional and would probably figure out how to avoid that, should I revisit this.
thanks for playing! :)
Interesting idea, although it's quite similar to games like Line Rider and Crayon Physics.
I didn't like that it clears the previous rope each time you fail. I'd have much preferred if you could adjust it with an eraser, or little handles to modify the lines. I know that's asking a lot for a 48hr games jam!
Maybe if you could see the previous thing you drew, and the previous path the groom took, it would be enough to let you work towards the goal. As it is though, I gave up after a few levels because I couldn't predict the groom's path after collecting the heart.
Clicking the groom to start feels unnecessary. Why not add space as an alternative?
Not sure why you only have 3 seconds for the solution to run.
The change screen arrows don't really look like buttons. Drag scroll or cursor keys scrolling might have been better choices. Or just keep the puzzles to a single screen?
thanks for playing! :)
I think the handles idea would be good! Though I still would keep some sort of "undo" function so you can completely erase a line you don't need.
Seeing the previous path might work too. Though I worry it might make it look too cluttered.
My concept was to keep it all "touch" based, that's why I never added "space" as a control. But later when I added the undo function & menus it was easier/faster to make those key controls. But I agree, space could easily be used.
Not all the levels are 3 seconds. Time increases dependent on difficulty.
Yeah, I was worried people might miss interrupt that. Could definitely change it to either of those! I wanted to add more functions than just drawing a line because that would get boring.
Hope that answers all your questions!
nice little game
thanks for playing! :)
simple game ,nice gameplay cool
thanks for playing! :)
The music fits the game really well, I love it! It would be great to have a delete button though
thanks for playing! :)
I did add an "undo" button, which can be pressed multiple times to delete all lines. I think a delete button to remove specific lines could work too though!
