Very satisfying, but the minimal movement is too big to navigate intricate patterns.
Nice to see Godot here somewhere ;D
I had to restart because I hadn't done 100K+, did 113015 in the end.
It's a small scope but what's there is good. The explosions of the enemies look super good, I'll need to remember to look for these ones if I ever make a pixel art game, while the one of your ship probably not as good but I love that it takes the entire screen. The music and sound effects are good and the game controls and feels well with the right speeds of ships and bullets, the right hps too as you destroy everything super fast when you charged. I like the charging and overheating mechanic, they're fun to deal with, and that's a good level to go for finishing without ever dying, you need to destroy the ships not to get overwhelmed.

MALICE-S is a very nostalgic intergalatic bullet hell, reminiscent of classic top-down airplane/fighter jet shooters. The music that your friend made was a lovely accompaniment for this game! The patterns were nice and controls were easy to understand.
For some reason, I kept dying without being hit by enemy bullets. I tried to replay but kept having the same issue. Other than that, a solid game. Good job!

Restarts when you select a level.
im not sure why this could be. the version i uploaded runs for me and my friends that i know of. are you on windows? x( did you unzip ?
Yes. I am on Windows. and, Yes I did unzip that's how I was able to select the level which restarted the whole thing.
Did you update it later on after the Jam was locked or something?

The art and assets are really good. Love the spawn animations. The explosions are on point as well.
The difficulty and pace of the game is also well balanced. Definitely among the top games of this jam.
