How does your game fit the theme?
The theme is used in the macro game loop and in the micro stage loop. In the overall game arc, the player reaches the end of their ascent, but find they really just arrive at a new beginning to the next stage of ascent; this happens multiple times. At the micro level, within each stage of the ascent, the player climbs a ladder as high as they are able (the 'end' of the ladder), and jump back to the ground (the 'beginning' of their climb), each time this happens, something new is available.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Reused a generic player controller. Used art and sounds assets that are CC0 and CC-BY-3. Credits included in game.

Wow, that's one of the best games I played during this game jam. The artwork is amazing. But it would be better if the music was looped, it sometimes ended for me.

The take on the theme was really unique and the graphics were a nice fit. I loved that you could control the "the new beginning" fall. Great work!
Loved the game, and I love the choice of assets used in it. The more you play the ore the level changes good work on this game.

Another solid 6 x 5/5 game! Great job! Artwork is amazing, music fits really well too and the plot-twists! The theme is also implemented on both a micro and macro scale. Had a lot of fun, keep it up!
A good game, the only shortcoming I found was that I didn't immediately recognize the ladder parts as ladders and didn't know what to do with them. The sounds went well with the game as well as the graphics. And impressively accurate credits :)
Cute and fun little game. I really like how you integrated the tutorial into the game it makes everything so much more easier to understand! I really like how the movement feels, for a platformer it hits the sweet spot between floaty and snappy. The graphics and music are really nice and add a good layer of polish on top. Also liked the idea of the game repeating after you die, fits the theme nice imo. Overall really nice little platformer. I would have liked to see more levels but you definitely have a solid foundation for a good game. Great work!
The graphics and gameplay feel really nice and the puzzle aspect works well. I played all the way through. I was really surprised at the "climax" (to avoid spoilers) and the twist was really clever. Nice work on the game!
