You cook food for Zeus, who is the god of thunder.
also, the game builds up to a big boss fight in the end of the game, so the rest of the game is basically the 'calm before the storm"

yes, except for most of the sound effects, which we downloaded from pixabay.com.
everything else we made from scratch.

Good game!! Maybe a better way to tell where the kitchen is would help and also if some trash or something is available would make the game better since i dont think once picked up I cant discard it.

It's fun! I think the mechanics work well, and it manages to generate a feeling of progress.
Although I think that a musical melody would have added a lot to the experience.

The concept of balancing Zeus' hunger with your own was really clever and added a fun strategic layer to the game! The art style was charming, and the stormy twist kept things intense. The difficulty curve did feel a bit steep, but overall, a very enjoyable and creative experience. Great work!
I was very lost on what to do at the start, but I got going once I went down (maybe some indication that I can go down can help.

Nice humor! "Your the best cook... anyway, I'm gonna teach you how to cook". You had to be very quick to cook food though, and sometimes I would get food from a different box than I wanted, probably because the player's collider is too big. When I failed to cook enough food, Zeus started throwing lightning bolts at me, it wasn't clear if it was going to end or last forever.
LMAO we didnt think of that 😭😂
i know the lightning bolt section is kinda long.. but theres an end to it i promise lol
Nice game! I like the way the recipes build on each other.
I couldn't make it past day 3 but I really enjoyed this game! The cooking is balanced in a tough but fair way and I like the thing that happens if Zeus gets angry lol
Very nice cooking game! Like the twist that your character is feeling hunger as well! And those interactions with Zeus are cool!
Art is nice and do the job! Even dialogues are present which is a nice touch!
Some feedback:
- you can cook meat by placing two salt
- some textures are on top of the player which is not looking nice
- pixel size in pixel art mismatch is noticeble
- you can pick up meat and place it in oven and then pick up pizza dough... and then you can't do anything
- I though at first what you need to pick up food when it's ready... it seems it's not necessary as it appears in your hands immediately after cooking... realization of which helps with playthought but wasn't obvious and I'm not sure if this is intentional or not
- I'm not sure why you need to split the game on two screens... I think it would work in one screen better
- food recipies will help for new players... because at first it's just trial and error which not help in this game. It's not as bad as you get used to it though.
- text reveal on click in dialogues would be nice, not all people like to watch text appear animation
- show where and what you've put already can help for people with short memory as me

God didn't appreciate my cooking :(
The player needs to be able to discard/drop the item they are holding, otherwise they can get softlocked
It gets quite a bit hard by level 3

Very cool and funny that Zeus is bulking. The game gets hard fast, day 3 was already brutal for me. I loved that you had hunger too, so you would just make a little snack on the side. It seemed that if the oven was already buffered with one item (let's say dough), and then you obtained another item (lets say lamb), you would effectively softlock yourself as you can't seem to put down obtained ingredients and can't clear the oven.
Regardless the game is creative, fun, and easy to understand!
