Played a couple missions, and did the extra portion of the tutorial.
Aesthetics are quite nice, very readable, and the random guns and bodies are well done. UI is also nice, the hacking windows feel satisfying and intuitive to use. At first I was put off by the AI generated faces, but I think it works well to make a stark contrast to the rest of the game's visuals. Story, writing, and humor are pretty simple, but I found it enjoyable throughout. The home base is also a plus, always fun to mess around in a safe room.
Gameplay feels pretty balanced, with limits and backfiring from the hacking to encourage the violent method, while the combat is simple enough to both be blindsided and take advantage of the enemies. Being one shot almost every time I'm hit is a bit annoying, but I just had to git gud(or to have used the accessibility option). Only part of combat I'm still confused by is the non wall cover, it seems the enemy can use it to shoot and not be shot, but when I eventually tried the same, my shots were blocked and I was killed from behind it. May be worth while to explain it in the tutorial so I don't have to throw myself at it to understand. As for console commands, the were easy to remember, and the admin attacks+ data costs needed for most actions added some strategy to the order of action. I also liked the limit of having to snapback after snap, added just a bit of tension to use such a useful skill.
Quite fun to play, if difficult. Will keep an eye out for this.
