Hi! That's exactly what I was going for! I'm happy it came across that way. Personally, I did have some issues with the angle the bullet reflects to, but the holding middle click to deflect mechanic worked pretty well (no overlapping or bullets hitting the player while holding middle click).
Your submission is truly stunning, very cinematographic. It kind of reminded me of Mirror's Edge, for some reason (which is never a bad thing lol).
Thanks for the kind comment!
Thank you, that is really kind of you!
I made it out of the window after trying a couple strategies! I think the strategic premise of the game is very cool, but it seems to have a few bugs (for example some villains died, even though I was nowhere close to them or my thrown gun flew right through a villain but didn't kill him) and the hitboxes feel a bit unpredictable (for example the chairs blocking my projectiles sometimes). If you fix those issues it's a cool game, reminds me of Super Hot :)
Hi! Yes the game is a bit limited by the engine. I liked the idea so I thought that despite my lack of skill programming, I'd try to bring it to life, even if it means not using Godot or Unity and using something more basic. I love Gdevelop though, specially for making small games and prototypes, and testing mechanics.
I'm glad you see that resemblance! When describing it in the GDD I used Super Hot as a reference, as well as Ape Out (I wanted to add a bit more chaos and props).
Thanks for playing!
i couldnt complete the mission (even with the timer > 20 seconds) but nice game anyway :)
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! The idea is to repeat it a few times and plan a strategy. For those two reasons the menus are incorporated into the scene, for faster navigation and familiarization with the scene. And I assure you, winning is worth it. Don't give up!
you’re right. i did see strategic possibilities. i’m going back in to finish the job!
You got this
Thanks for pointing me back in! :)
You're welcome! I love your game btw. I'm addicted to addictive card games. Very festive and cozy art design, too. I can definitely see it being the winner. I only got up to 3,005, but I'll keep trying later.
