Kalah on Instagram: "Exercises for the upper glutes 🍑 So to build that shelf and focus on the upper glutes, we need to do exercises that target the gluteus medius. This is 1 out of the glute muscles and is located on the lateral/top portion of the glutes. To target this, we want to work in movements that involve abduction and pulling our leg outward. 🍑 Now don’t get me wrong, other glute exercises such as BSS, Hipthrusts etc will still help with building that shelf but these are great exercises to specifically engage and isolate that medius muscle. When I say core I don’t mean just my six pack. I mean my whole midsection, almost as if I’m bracing for impact or a punch. I’m bracing as if that impact could come from any direction, not just the front. This will go a long way to help you with core strength and lower back endurance. ✨✨Your core is more than a 6 pack. You don’t want to shift at all if you want to stand back up without losing position. 2. The weight is bearing down on you, at that point your core is bearing the weight. 3. You need your core for the leg movement. ALWAYS PLANT YOUR FEET FLAT TO STAND UP, PRESS FROM YOUR HEELS I’m keeping this one. Use a weight you can manage. Bryony Sunny Brown on Instagram: "Bulk Baby Bulk!! Since I have been bulking I have been eating in a caloric surplus vs the caloric deficit I was maintaining when training for my competition. I am still consuming High protein meats like chicken and lean turkey now I’ve added ribeyes to the menu 🥩🥰 Still eating healthy fats like avocado, cashews, almond butter but now I’ve added regular peanut butter and whole eggs 😋 I’ve also increased my carbs significantly eating brown rice, sweet potato’s, raw oats and whole grain bread. I’ve slowed down on the length of my cardio from an 1hr to 30 mins, and I’ve been more intentional about my foot positioning while doing the stairmaster and eliptical (I’ll post a video to show technique ) As far as strength training for glutes I work my glute
