Each nozzle gives you a different effect!  ⭐️The nozzle that has several teeth will give you several lines in you buttercream ( Wilton 4B ) And vise versa ( Wilton 1M )   These tips are all you need when you are just learning how to pipe.  You could get several designs with these two nozzles.   They are perfect for cakes and cupcakes!   ⭐️When learning how to pipe I highly recommend that you do something similar to what I was doing: -You get a plate, parchment paper or plastic wrap anything that you could keep reusing you buttercream until you perfect your piping skills ! Calling All Bakers on Instagram: "Great tip posted by• @naan_bai  One question I get asked frequently is, ‘How do I get a smooth finish and sharp edges on my cakes?’ Here we go!   - First, the cake must be crumb coated.  - The cake should be cold — refrigerator cold, *not* freezer cold.  - I don’t like using a piping bag to apply layers of icing. A spatula works better — that way, I can control the thickness of the icing.  - Microwave the buttercream for 5-10 seconds before applying. This gives a nice gloss to the buttercream, makes it easily spreadable, ensure thin layers, and avoids patchiness in the color.  - Scrape off with a slightly warm scraper. Wipe it clean after every pass to keep your buttercream smooth. - Chill the cake before cutting off the top lip.
