For measuring the financial health of a business firm, there are lots of techniques available. However, Altman's Z-score has been proven to be a reliable tool. This model envisages predicting the possibilities of bankruptcy of manufacturing organization. Multiple discriminate analyses (MDA) are useful tools in such situations. The use of MDA helps to consolidate the effect of all ratios. Keeping the above view in mind, the "Z score" analysis has been adopted to monitor the financial health of the company. The current study has been conducted to assess the financial health of a firm namely Raysut Cement Company SAOG and its subsidiaries in Oman. This study was based on the secondary data which was obtained from the published sources i.e. Annual report for the period of 8 years (2007 to 2014). The study revealed that the Company Raysut Cement Company SAOG and its subsidiaries are financially sound as they have higher Z score than the benchmark (2.99) except in some years of study. The findings of the study may be useful for the managers to take financial decision, the stockholders to choose investment options and others to look after their interest in the concerned cement manufacturers of the country.

This study aims at identifying the factors affecting the customers demand for Internet banking us... more This study aims at identifying the factors affecting the customers demand for Internet banking usage by analyzing sample of 450 consumers‘ responses who have been interviewed personally through structured survey in 3 districts of Uttar Pradesh India. The study was conducted on the private, public and foreign banks which included ICICI Bank Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd. and AXIS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Yes Bank. Among public sector banks the respondents were from Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India and Canara Bank. The sample size of 450 has been taken from among the urban population of above 18 years of age. The result indicates that the educated respondents use the service of internet banking. Based on occupation we can say that the service class and the business class is the one who use internet banking service to nearly 2 times as other occupation. The high income respondents having more than 1 lack income prefer to use this service. The private sector bank account holders use this service as compared to public sector banks. The banking attributes i.e. convenience and security do have very attentive influence on the use of Internet banking.

This paper applies a novel Bootstrap Autoregressive Distributed Lag (BARDL) approach to investiga... more This paper applies a novel Bootstrap Autoregressive Distributed Lag (BARDL) approach to investigate the relationship between green innovation (GI), economic growth (GDP), drama and film (D&F) industry, and environmental sustainability in India for the 1995 to 2020 period. The data has been checked for its stationarity by applying the Zivot and Andrews (ZA) unit root test, and the cointegration test results suggest a long-run equilibrium relationship between the variables. The empirical finding of long-run estimates reveals that 1% augments of GI, GDP, and D&F industry increase CO2 emissions by −0.079, 0.566%, and 0.143%, respectively. Furthermore, the main results indicate that GDP and the D&F industry have statistically significant positive effects on CO2 emissions, and GI has statistically significant negative effects on CO2 emissions. This study investigated the experiences of Bank Muscat (BM) and Bank Dhofar (BD) (hereafter BM and BD) customers with automatic teller machines (ATMs) in the Dhofar region of Oman. Primary data was collected from by a random sample of 200 ATM users by means of a semi-structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test. The study found that most of the users were male in the age group of 36-45 having a government job or doing their own business. The study also revealed that the main problems faced by the ATM users are machine out of order, long queue and poor visibility of statement. As regards to the differences between the two banks the study found that significant difference in the mean customer satisfaction between customers of BM and BD for the factor “Machine out of order.” Management of these banks must take into account these factors while designing and implementing ATM...
