Juice was prepared from mango and sea buckthorn by mixing their pulp in 7:3. Potassium meta-bisulphite, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate was added @ 0.06% to first three treatments and in the remaining their mixture was added but the final level were kept the same as 0.06%. All the samples were packed in 250 ml transparent glass bottles and stored at ambient temperature for three months. The samples were analyzed for pH, TSS, % acidity, ascorbic acid, reducing and non-reducing sugars at zero storage and at interval of 15 days up to three months. During storage, TSS and reducing sugars and pH significantly increased while ascorbic acid, non-reducing sugar and acidity significantly decreased during storage.

The plants were identified botanically, arranged alphabetically along with their Latin name, family name, common name, poisonous parts, toxicity, affects, toxin and their effects. Aim of the study was to induce awareness in the local people of district Bannu about the poisonous effects of the commonly used plants. Data about poisonous effect were collected from the local experienced and mostly old age people through questionnaire. Some information were collected from a number of veterinary texts and literature. The most important plants genera studied in the area were Brassica 6 species (11.11%), Lathyrus 5 spp (9.26%), Astragalus, Euphorbia and Prunus were with 4 spp (7.40%). Datura, Jatropha, Ranunculus, Solanum and Sorg...

New styles of leadership are being introduced and project leadership also can't escape. With the advancement in project management project leadership requires new effective behaviors in organizations if it is to remain relevant. Interestingly, still project leadership has no separate wing of theory under the subject of project management but striving to strengthen the concept as distinct branch of knowledge. The reason behind that is project management and project managers have long been considered as a part of technical field rather being a part of social sciences. Different leadership styles have been discussed with some empirical support and there is need to adopt the new styles like authentic leadership in project management. Although authentic leadership is at its initial stages but produced positive results in studies discussed so far. In this study importance of authentic leadership has been discussed theoretically as compared to other contemporary theories.

PIC has financed a research project conducted by the Coastal and Air Pollution Program's research staff at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research to assess the impact of pollution control strategies implemented to maintain a healthy productive environment in and around the manufacturing premises. The project was completed in three phases; the first phase included the pollution monitoring of the melting and prilling units in full operation, the second phase covered the complete shutdown period where production was halted completely and granulation units were installed, and the last phase encompassed the current modified status with granulation units in full operation. There was substantial decrease in ammonia emissions, about 72%, and a 5...

When using large samples, even quite small correlation coefficients can reach statistical significance. For example, although it is statistically significant, the practical significance of a correlation of 0.09 is quite limited. In a case like this, the researcher should focus on the actual size of Pearson's r and the amount of shared variance between the two variables. To interpret the strength of the correlation coefficient, it is advisable to take into account other research that has been conducted in that particular area. SPSS can calculate two types of correlation. First it will give a simple bivariate correlation between two variables, also known as zero order correlation. Secondly, SPSS can explore the relationship between two variables, while controlling for another variable. This is called partial correlation. In this text, only zero order correlation will be discussed. The two most popular correlations are: Spearman's and Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficients. The difference between them is that Pearson's product-moment correlation deals with interval or ratio data while Spearman rank-order can deal with ordinal data apart from interval and ratio data. the example, 'waitingtime' has a β of .264 at a sig. level of .013, and t=2.555 and 'quality' has a β of .332 at a sig. level of .002, and t=3.150. Therefore, we can conclude that the more customers are pleased with the waiting time at the check-out and the quality of the merchandises, the higher satisfaction is perceived by customers. Neither 'gender', 'income' and 'backgdmusic' can predict customers perceived satisfaction significantly.

A total of 51 plant species belonging to 32 families were found to be valuable for medicinal, food, fodder/forage, fuel, timber, shelter and agricultural purposes. Local people used indigenous plants for their common day ailments. The largest families among these are Rosaceae (6 Genera), Solanaceae (5 Genera), Asclepiadaceae (3 Genera), Moraceae (3 Genera), Ruteaceae(2 Genera) and Lamiaceae (2 Genera). It was reported that most common part of the plant used are leaves (21%) and Fruit (18%). As there is no river or other sources of water, that's why most of the plants were found wild. More over there is no trend of cultivation of medicinal plants in the said area. The ethnobotanical important plants are Citrus limon, Cydonia oblonga, Withania coagulens,Vitex negundo, Mentha sylvestris and Fagonia Cretica.

Chronic inflammation has been implicated as an imminent threat for major human malignancies and is directly linked to various steps involved in tumorigenesis. Inflammatory cytokines, interleukins, interferons, transforming growth factors, chemokines, and adhesion molecules have been associated with chronic inflammation. Numerous cytokines are reported to be aberrantly regulated by different epigenetic mechanisms like DNA methylation and histone modifications in tumor tissues, contributing to pathogenesis of tumor in multiple ways. Some of these cytokines also work as epigenetic regulators of other crucial genes in tumor biology, either directly or indirectly. Such regulations are reported in lung, breast, cervical, gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, prostate, and head and neck cancers. Epigenetics of inflammatory mediators in cancer is currently subject of extensive research. These investigations may h...

Mobile augmented reality browsers are tracking less systems, which acquires location data using global positioning system and provide information in the form of maps or web links. Tracking based techniques recognize objects through markers or directly real world objects without markers. Marker based systems actually track the markers not the real objects and therefore, these approaches hides the reality. Markerless (direct real object tracking) systems use client-server architecture. However, these are affected by network latency. The Smartphone is capable to recognize and track real world objects without any server and marker. It can guide the users about their location and also provide information in a convenient way. Therefore, an improved algorithm for tracking real world objects through natural features was formulated. The modified version of speed up robust features (SURF) was used for features f f extraction from live mobile camera image and recognition. The pose matrix from extracted features was calculated by Homography. The adapted algorithm was tested in a mobile AR-prototype application using iPhone. It was found from the results that the formulated algorithm recognized and tracked the real world objects from natural features in speedy, easy and convenient way

In the latter case dose limiting organs are spinal cord, kidneys and small intestine. We present a challenging case of FIGO IVB squamous cell carcinoma of cervix and a pelvic kidney. This patient received chemoradiation to pelvis and para-aortic field, brachytherapy was not performed as patient already had undergone attempted hysterectomy. Treatment, outcome and challenges encountered in this case are presented and literature is reviewed.
