Normally, the refineries process a mixture of several crude oils owing to economic, technical and political aspects. In this study, four crude oils were characterized and investigated in order to determine physical-chemical properties and insolubility number (IN) and blending solubility number (SBN). The result revealed that two pair of crude oils are fully compatible and the remaining are partly compatible. The volume limitation of each crude oil in the mixture is proposed. In addition, the relationship between the compatibility and physico-chemical properties of crude oils is discussed. In fact, the crude oil which possessed high wax content and low resins to asphaltenes ratio possesses low stability. This finding might provide a new and valuable strategy for solving the foulings in crude oil tanks and processing...

The water-soluble hematoporphyrin derivatives diarginate (HpD[Arg],) and 1-arginin di(N-amino acid)-protoporphyrinate used in this study are effective photosensitizers in tumor photodynamic therapy. Depending on the amino acid substituent, the porphyrin derivatives differ in their affinity for yeast cells. It is shown that HpD(Arg), and PP(Met), (Arg), penetrate into the yeast cell and are metabolized. Both compounds sensitize yeast cells to photodamage but have no mutagenic effect on nuclear or mitochondrial genomes.

The isolated mutants in rich media have generation times from 300 to 400 rain at 30 ° C. Studies on the biosynthesis of rRNA x have shown, that the processing of 37S pre-rRNA in 6 of the slow-growing mutants occurs 3 to 4 times slower than in the parental strain. These mutants with decreased rate of rRNA maturation are of two different types. In some of them the processing of both 37S and 27S pre-rRNA is slowed down, while the mutants from the second group are acharacterized by a specific inhibition of the step 27S pre-rRNA~25S rRNA. Experiments in which the synthesis of macromolecules was studied, have shown that in the mutants and in the parental strain, RNA and proteins are synthesized at comparable rates. Preliminary results suggest that the decreased rate of rRNA processing in three of the isolated mutants might be due to an insufficient function of the enzymes involved in the maturation of rRNA.

The nature of online learning makes it easier for dishonest behaviors, such as cheating or lying during lessons. We propose a new artificial intelligence - powered solution to help educators solve this rising problem for a fairer learning environment. We created a visual representation contrastive learning method with the MobileNetV2 network as the backbone to improve predictability from an unlabeled dataset which can be deployed on low power consumption devices. The experiment shows an accuracy of up to 59%, better than several previous research, proving the usability of this approach.

In this paper, we investigated conotoxins from venoms of eight cone snails of the genus Conus in Vietnam by using a nano-liquid chromatography linked mass spectrometry. For medical application, the recombinant ωconotoxin MVIIA was expressed in E. coli and determined analgesic activity by testing on the mice. As the results, the conotoxins were identified in venoms of eight conus mainly belong to O, M, A super families. In addition, many small peptides were determinated, however these databases are not clear due to reference of DNA and protein databases is deficient. Recombinant MVIIA (CTX) was expressed in the fusion with thioredoxin in molecular weight of 20.5 kDa (Trx-CTX) and the original CTX peptide was purified in size of below 3 kDa after removing thioredoxin and his tag. Both of CTX peptide and Trx-CTX fusion protein showed an analgesic activity when compared to lidocaine and morphine. Hence, these recombinant proteins could be potential drugs for effective analgesic treatment.
