After Dr. Khalifah (an Egyptian scholar), one of the scholars who claimed the numerical miracle of the Holy Quran in his various books and articles-as one of the aspects of the scientific miracle of Quran, is Abd Al-Razzaq Noofel. In this article this claim and its aspects are investigated. It seems that the claimed numerical miracle needs more inspection because the mentioned claims do not seem correct in some cases. Therefore we should say: Quran's numerical miracle is only acceptable in some of the claimed cases.
The organic deposition particularly asphaltenes has many detrimental effects on the oil industrie... more The organic deposition particularly asphaltenes has many detrimental effects on the oil industries, such as plugging in pipelines, wellbore and facilities and subsequently, considerable reduction in well productivity.Asphaltenes are the most polar fractions, which they have been dispersed as colloidal clusters in crude oil. The accumulation of these clusters lead to the flocculation of colloids, and accordingly, formation of precipitation. Adding inhibitor is one of the ways to prevent clustering of asphaltene precipitation in crude oil. In this study, the effect of inhibitors to prevent asphaltene precipitation was investigated by viscometric method. At first, the different concentrations (1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, 10000 ppm and 20000 ppm) of some aromatic, anionic and nonionic inhibitors were prepared in a dead crude oil sample, and then the inhibition strength of samples was measured. The main objective of this work was to assess the optimization of Fe and Cu bioleaching from conv... more The main objective of this work was to assess the optimization of Fe and Cu bioleaching from converter slag using Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. Important parameters that contribute to the bioleaching process include initial pH, initial Fe2+ concentration and pulp density. In order to optimize these parameters, the response surface methodology (RSM) was applied. The maximum simultaneous Fe and Cu recovery yields were 95% and 100%, respectively. The optimum conditions were initial pH 1.8, initial density 1.4 g/100 mL and initial Fe2+ 7.3 g/L. The comparison between chemical leaching and bioleaching results showed that bioleaching improved the recovery yields of Fe and Cu by 26% and 33%, respectively. The modified shrinking core model was used to determine the rate-limiting step of the process. It was found that diffusion through the product layer and chemical reaction are the rate controlling steps.

Very large kaolin clay deposits are recorded at the Western Desert of Iraq, in the Ga'ara For... more Very large kaolin clay deposits are recorded at the Western Desert of Iraq, in the Ga'ara Formation (Permocarboniferous), Hussainiyat Formation (Lower Jurassic), and Amij Formation (Middle Jurassic) and as flint clay at the base of the Hussainiyat Formation in karsts developed in the Ubaid Formation carbonates. Other exposed formations, such as Zor Hauran Formation (Upper Triassic) incorporate some thick impure kaolinitic horizons. The investigated clays are sedimentary (transported) except the flint clay, which is from in situ alteration of kaolin during bauxitization. The Ga'ara and Hussainiyat kaolin clays are of fluvial origin, Amij kaolin clay of paralic origin and Zor Hauran kaolinitic clay of marine origin. Kaolinite is the major clay mineral present in these deposits with minor proportions of illite and mixed-layer illite-smectite. Five newly azo derivatives (4a-e) were synthesized from this 1,2,4-triazole by converting the amine group to diazonium salt then reacted with various substituent phenol,as well three newly imine derivatives (5a-c) were synthesized from reacting the amine group of compound (3) with three aryl aldehyde. The thermal electro conductivity of these compounds was tested at 30, 50, 75 and 100 áµ’C. compound 4a showed interesting electro conductivity at 75áµ’C as well 5a at 75áµ’C while 5b showed significant conductivity at 100 áµ’C

Earned Value Management is a critical project manage-ment methodology that evaluates project perf... more Earned Value Management is a critical project manage-ment methodology that evaluates project performance from cost and schedule viewpoints. The novel theoretical framework presented in this paper estimates future performance of project regarding the past rela-tive information. It benefits from fuzzy regression (FR) models in esti-mation process in order to deal with the vagueness and impreciseness of real data. Furthermore, fuzzy-based estimation is evaluated using lin-guistic terms to interpret different possible condition of projects. The proposed model can greatly assists project managers to assess prospec-tive performance of project and alerts them in taking of necessary actions. Finally, one illustrative case associated with a construction project has been provided to illustrate the applicability of theoretical model in real situations.

High yielding preparation of structurally different anthraquinone lariat ethers from the reaction... more High yielding preparation of structurally different anthraquinone lariat ethers from the reaction of a novel anthraquinone aza crown ether 3 with a variety of substituted phenols and paraformaldehyde in the presence of zinc oxide nanoparticles at 100°C in a solvent‐free condition has been described. The procedure of these reactions is very simple, the yields are generally high to excellent, and the method is applicable to large scale operation without any problem. Furthermore, the zinc oxide nanoparticles could be recovered and recycled up to five times by simple filtration of the reaction mixture.

Many Iranian traditional physicians have described the traits of specific foods for prevention and treatment of male infertility. To explore the principles and roles of foods recommended by ITM scientists in prevention and treatment of male infertility as well as enlisting all the recommended foods for treating this problem addressed through the ITM original resources written between 815 and 1901. In this review study specific data related to the subject among all referral ITM texts was extracted firstly, and then the collected data were analyzed using inductive content analysis. The analytical result is compared with numerical solutions presented by other works and good agreement has been found. Analytical solution with its clear physical meaning and its explicit form permits to predict the influence of various factors on the solution. The optical path difference which gives a valuable means to quantify the optical properties of laser material such as designed beam quality, will converge to a constant value as steady state temperature distribution is reached.
