The ASP is described by means of a nonlinear model and results on a Two-Input Two-Output multivariable system. In this paper a discrete time digital control is proposed where the design of a decentralized controller is faced. Local controllers are given the form of a Two-Degree-of-Freedom PI controller tuned using the data-driven Virtual-Reference Feedback tuning approach.

This methodology requires only having the reaction curve of the plant to obtain all the parameters of the model for both over-damped and underdamped processes. On the other hand an optimal tuning for PID controllers considering the closedloop robustness is also proposed for a given anisochronic model. Both the identification and the control are tested in a pH neutralization process, a well known PID benchmark and in a nonlinear CSTR system, to verify the usefulness of the proposed methodology in chemical processes.

Each mutant allele carried a lacZ reporter whose expression profile highlighted a wide spectrum of spatiotemporal and tissue-specific transcription patterns in embryos and adults that informed our phenotypic analyses and will serve as a guide for future investigations of these genes. Our study shows that lincRNAs are a new class of encoded molecules that, like proteins, serve essential and important functional roles in embryonic development, physiology, and homeostasis of a broad array of tissues and organs in mammals.

The tuning presents a set of equations based on a multi-objective optimization with a closed-loop robustness criterion for both input and output disturbances rejection. The equations allow the control engineer to select the weight given to each response in order to cope with the compromise between input and output disturbance rejection optimality.

The CAD tool relies on an adaptive multi-model control scheme able to obtain the lowest- order model for a system under control by means of adaptation and switching between multiple models. Three models of consecutive orders compose the parallel scheme. The switching rule selects then the necessary order of the nominal model required to attain a desired tracking degree of performance depending on the reference signal. An adaptive algorithm is in charge of tuning of the parameters of the model composing altogether a so-called multi-estimation scheme. The CAD tool is described and commented in the paper while a link where it can be downloaded is also included. Furthermore, analytical proofs of the parameter estimation convergence as well as closed-loop stability are provided and discussed. ā ā , m n B Ć ā ā , p n C Ć ā ā , m p D Ć ā ā and McMillan degree n. This methodology is not only useful for control applications, but also can be used for predicting the temperature variation across the stack, allowing to monitor its operation. The methodology has been validated in a real 600W, 20-cells, water cooled PEMFC, with encouraging results for both the stationary and the transient states. Results show that the proposed methodology is accurate and suitable for control purposes Index Terms-Fuel cells, modelling, thermal modelling, water cooling

The resultant model is based on the heat flux inside the stack and has been validated in a real test station. Then, a linear model predictive control (MPC) strategy for temperature regulation is designed and tested in simulation with promising results. The proposed MPC controller not only tackles the temperature regulation problem, but also incorporates necessary management constraints for the proper operation of the system in real conditions.

The chosen framework is the one established in the Benchmark Simulation Model 1. Two loops were applied: control of nitrate concentration at the last anoxic section of the plant by manipulating the internal recycle flow rate using a two-degrees of freedom PI and a cascade plus feedforward approach to control ammonia at the last aeration section by manipulating the setpoint of the dissolved oxygen controller at the last aeration section using ammonia measurements from the influent. The results are very close to other more advanced approaches applied to the plant in the same conditions, therefore showing the usability of model-free approach for wastewater treatment plant control.

A data based test is presented to check the robust stability of the controller in the loop, taking advantage of the control structure. Two different examples are shown where the presented method successfully controls a non-minimum phase discrete time plant and a non-linear continuous time process.

The novelty of this tuning is that it takes into account multiobjective optimizations methods with a closed-loop robustness criterion. When compared with other classical tuning rules, it was found that the proposed rules give better results for both input and output disturbances.
