Historically women have provided the critical links in structuring social and political organization. The role and status of Muslim women surfaced at the end of the nineteenth century as a part of the large anti-colonialist movements. The role and status of the women are not isolated social phenomena and women’s struggle does not take place in a vacuum. Both are determined, enhanced or impeded, by the social, political and economic development of the people’s history. If the present Islamization campaign in Pakistan seeks to curtail women’s rights and in resistance a women’s movement is formed, it would be the result of ongoing process and must be viewed as such. Research paper in hand encompasses the struggle of women to felicitate their constitutional rights which unfortunately were not recognized and realized by the “colonial elite”.

Data used were secondary and primary and were analysedand tested using relevant econometric analytical technique as well as Chi-square technique. The result shows a positive significant relationship between domestic debt and economic growth and an inverse relationship between interest rate and economic growth in Nigeria. It was also shown that high interest rate reduces private sector investment, thus leading to decline in gross domestic product. Therefore, the paper emphasizes the need for Nigerian government to maintain a growth-inducing level of domestic debts alwaysand it should be ensured that these financial resources are productively deployed and utilized so that they do not constitute any drain on the future resources. The government should also formulate and implement financial policies that enhance investment-friendly rate of interest and as well take into consideration those other factors which negatively affect investment in the country

Pakistan is located at a very significant strategic place on the globe. It is situated at the juncture of energy proficient to the energy deficient countries. The Gawadar Port in Pakistan is positioned at the Arabian Sea which is 72 Kilometers far from Iran, 320 Kilometers from Cape al-Hadd in Oman and about 400 Kilometers away from the Strait of Hormuz and relates tothe Persian Gulf. Gawadar as a key shipping point may be able to play a key role in ensuring China’s energy security as it provides a much shorter route than the current 12,900 km route from the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Malacca to the eastern seaboard of China. China has been building its leading role in Asia and beyond for economic and political cooperation through “One Belt One Road”. OBOR project has two components: first, the land-based ‘New Silk Road’; and second, a 21st Century Maritime Silk Road through a vast network of transport corridors, pipelines, ports and fiber-optic cables spreading across the entireEurasian landmass connecting East Asia, Central and South Asia, the Middle East and parts of Europe. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (hereafter CPEC) is very vital and a joint venture of Pakistan and China to connect Kashgar in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with the Southwestern Pakistani port of Gawadar. Under CPEC, China will invest $46 billion in Pakistan for the development of infrastructure and energy for the next 15 to 30 years. The four main pillars of CPEC are Gawadar port, communication infrastructure, energy infrastructure and industrial zones. Pakistan will serve as a crucial bridge between China and Central Asia; South Asia and the Middle East. This paper makes an analysis of the strategic parameters of CPEC from both the Chinese andPakistani perspectives.

Focusing mainly on the early campaign for the democratic nomination rather than the actual presidency, children appear significantly more often in Clinton’s ads than in those of her opponent, Bernie Sanders. Children, in Clinton’s 2016 campaign, therefore act to associate Clinton with a traditionally more feminine sphere of power through motherhood, placing her in the position of nurturer for the USA throughthe presidency and consolidating her roles as both a woman and political leader.

Based on the major findings, it was concluded that a significant positive relationship existsbetween manufacturing output and economic growth in Nigeria. However, the most profound of the hazards faced in manufacturing sector are physical hazard, chemical hazard, and psychosocial hazard as revealed by the mean score result. It is therefore pertinent to suggest that employers should improve the dissemination of information to workers on safety matters toremind them of the importance of the safety measures for achieving a safe workplace. The government should intensify effort at improving physical infrastructure notably inpower supply and make it more accessible to manufacturers toreduce self-supply of electricity which brings huge operating cost.

Progressive School of Historiography links itself with the progressive movement of mid-thirties which inspired a considerable number of scholars i.e. the leftist lot of the country. They adopted a self-motivated rather missionary approach to proliferate a historiographical ideal what is typically termed as the “other side” of History Writing. In the wake of revolutionary outburst of 1969 in the country-which claimed the first Martial Law regime, public hoped for the end of the country’s oppressive fabric forever. Although the endeavourremained fruitless yet it gave way to the realization of “social democracy” and “populism” in the country with an aim to create dialectic against the feudal as well as industrial classes of the country. The progressive historiographers were viewed as subversive to the indigenous history writing pursuits rather they were termed as hardliners both content and methodology they adopted for the promotion of their ideologies. Another phenomenon which emerges as the by-product of this dialectic was the influence of politics over the history writing which resulted into the leftist-rightist milieu. The progressive movement despitefailing to produce the desired results yet the influence of the historical school of thought it produced cannot be marginalized or undermined. Hence the Progressive historiography is the logical outcome of the subaltern, alternate, anti-colonial, and post modern concepts of history and historiography destined to reshape the socio-cultural fabric of the society.

In Pakistan, the party system has gone through a long historical and evolutionary process. In this article an effort has been made to discuss and explain the political parties evolved and what changes have been experienced in their structures in the first thirty years (1947-1977).

In this way, they play an effective role in the indirect mode of political participation, called the elections, and by their right to vote called the franchise or suffrage. The evolution of the idea of electorates in United India is an interesting episode of South Asian History in terms of the British legacy. How this idea evolved and flourished here is the core theme of article in hand which highlights the efforts of Indians in securing their constitutional rights through peaceful struggle which is a great lesson for today’s terrorism-stricken world.

In this way, they play an effective role in the indirect mode of political participation, called the elections, and by their right to vote called the franchise or suffrage. The evolution of the idea of electorates in United India is an interesting episode of South Asian History in terms of the British legacy. How this idea evolved and flourished here is the core theme of article in hand which highlights the efforts of Indians in securing their constitutional rights through peaceful struggle which is a great lesson for today’s terrorism-stricken world.

struggle of women to felicitate their constitutional rights which unfortunately were not recognized
