This will be very disturbing especially those who care for their own health. Eastern cultures are generally reluctant to treat smokers who violate the rules directly. Therefore, other methods are needed, such as creating a set of cigarette smoke detection systems that can warn smokers not to do it in a place that is forbidden to smoke. This device is expected to detect cigarette smoke, then at the same time take photos of suspected smokers as evidence of violations. Warnings will be carried out by authorized persons, if the alarm signal of cigarette smoke is not also heeded. The device consists of NodeMCU, MQ-2, piezo speakers, and ArduCAM OV2640. When the device detects cigarette smoke, it will push a beep sound, capture images of the room, and immediately send images to the Cloud database. A few moments later the mobile phone supervisor of the room will get a proof of the incident and immediately take an action to reprimand and arrest the perpetrators. The testing of cigarette smoke detection devices was carried out in a cardboard room with a volume of 50cm x 50cm x 75cm. Detection was carried out at 4 different points from the source of cigarette smoke each of 6 x experiments or 24 x experiments. It was found, that the speed of detection of cigarette smoke was achieved on average 14.4 seconds with the device located above the source of cigarette smoke (75cm).

Problems with air pollution due to household waste, use of ammonia, combustion of motor vehicles,... more Problems with air pollution due to household waste, use of ammonia, combustion of motor vehicles, cigarette smoke and so on can affect air quality in Campus. The change of air quality can be known by using a gas sampler, however it has not been able to measure the air quality and record the data in real-time manner. For providing the air quality real-time and accessible online, we have established a compact device to measure air quality using the MQ-135 sensor Arduino based. The developed three of devices were carried outside of the campus's building to measure air quality at three specific area simultaneously. The number of data samples received by each device within 1 hour is 12 data. All data is sent from the devices to a web server. All information is accessible online by anyone who has a portable device. Air quality data has been collected for 5 consecutive days on 08-12 August 2018 at 09.00-14.00 West of Indonesia Time. The result indicated that the air quality in those three areas included in the medium category with ranges of air quality value in 51-100 ppm. This device can carry out its functions, such taking the air quality values per category, in differ location, with graphical form, and provide real-time information. It has a compact shape that need right material for outside and suitable power supply.

In doing modern surgery such ophthalmologic, doctors operate eye's internal lens, which is small objects, so they are prone to making mistakes. The postoperative procedure is required to evaluate the intervention results. The microscope ophthalmologic surgery equipment uses trinocular which can be installed with a digital camera to record intervention activities for reflective purposes. In this study besides using that main digital camera, we explore the possibility to employ one or more aftermarket digital cameras, such as smart phone or action camera. Close-Up lens will also be used for increasing the object image obtains by the cameras. The uses of aftermarket cameras give beneficial for mobile operation-theatre or application in the rural area. The objective of this exploration is to get insight about the possibilities and functions of this kind of cameras, whether it may effectively be used. We used an image of eye rather than real eye. The results show that combining camera with close-up lens helps to obtain bigger size of images/videos although some further improvement is still required.

Currently, the security system for office space that is integrated with digital data has been somewhat limited. The main problem is that office space security items are not guaranteed as there might be outsiders who can enter the office. Therefore, this study aims to develop a system using biometric (face) recognition based on Viola-Jones and Radial Basis Function Network (RBFN) algorithm to ensure office room security. Based on the results, the system developed shows that object detection can work well with an object detection rate of 80%. This system has a pretty good accuracy because the object matching success is 73% of the object detected. Recording a surgery helps not only surgeons during evaluation to improve their skills, but also s... more Recording a surgery helps not only surgeons during evaluation to improve their skills, but also students in getting additional lesson materials regarding surgery. A multiple point of view recording helps to capture the whole surgery, not only the operated eye but also the doctor's hand movement and the room's environment. To determine which device can produce the clearest video, the resulting videos from each device were filtered with Laplacian method from OpenCV library. The higher variance a video produces, the better the result. From the experiment, video recorded on Samsung Note 8 has the best result, compare to other smartphones and mirrorless camera. Device placement also matters, as it determines how clear the object will be captured in the video. In case of two devices capturing the same object, the placement angle does not have to be the same, as long as the object can be clearly captured. The placement height, however, increases visibility and clarity of the captured object.

The recording technique used is utilizing cameras in the mode of multi-focus and multi-points on the object's eyes (macro view), surgeon hands (middle view), equipment and the people involved (wide view). We found mirrorless camera can achieve great result for macro view when placed over the camera adaptor. Smartphones suited the middle view position, while action camera is best used for wide view recording, and OBS Studio can be used to record all videos simultaneously. Regarding to video transmission, HDMI interface has better speed and video quality, but USB is easier to assemble. Previous study has examined the computer application for recognizing the male gender with five stages in the detection method, which are enhancement, segmentation, and template matching. Now for detecting female sex is included. The unique characteristics of female fetus are three white lines. These characteristics can be detected by using to-zero thresholding and binary thresholding. All the testing will be conducted by 10 times for 10 female samples of image ultrasound. The obtained samples come from several online media. The sample requires sexual organ which visually apparent (vulva, labia, and clitoris). As a result, application could detect 6 samples from 10 female samples. The percentage of success could be improved when using sample comes from the same type of ultrasound device.

The BDCS consists of EMA system and biological measuring devices (BMD) system. In this study, the EMA system was implemented to obtain subject behaviors and feelings related sleep around two weeks and BMD to obtain biological data such as snoring, skin impedance, pulse wave, and event during sleep over a night. Some factors as consequence of uncomfortable sleeping that related with breathing, sleep stressed, blood pulse wave, and awakening can be seen on the web. The BDCS could be useful for physicians to obtain adequate information that related with uncomfortable sleep in the real time.

Previous study has examined the computer application for recognizing the male gender with five stages in the detection method, which are enhancement, segmentation, and template matching. Now for detecting female sex is included. The unique characteristics of female fetus are three white lines. These characteristics can be detected by using to-zero thresholding and binary thresholding. All the testing will be conducted by 10 times for 10 female samples of image ultrasound. The obtained samples come from several online media. The sample requires sexual organ which visually apparent (vulva, labia, and clitoris). As a result, application could detect 6 samples from 10 female samples. The percentage of success could be improved when using sample comes from the same type of ultrasound device.

In order to collect biological data of human in real-time, we developed biological data collectio... more In order to collect biological data of human in real-time, we developed biological data collection system (BDCS) using a cellular phone. The BDCS consists of EMA system and biological measuring devices (BMD) system. In this study, the EMA system was implemented to obtain subject behaviors and feelings related sleep around two weeks and BMD to obtain biological data such as snoring, skin impedance, pulse wave, and event during sleep over a night. Some factors as consequence of uncomfortable sleeping that related with breathing, sleep stressed, blood pulse wave, and awakening can be seen on the web. The BDCS could be useful for physicians to obtain adequate information that related with uncomfortable sleep in the real time.
