The background of this development is the problems encountered in making a data logger, which must meet the following criteria: able to read data one or more sensors, able to store the data, able to be operated for a long time, even if placed in an area that has no electricity supply. In addition, the data that stored in the data logger should be loaded and displayed on a computer without having to stop the operation of the data logger. In this study, the data logger that meets these criteria has been developed using Seeeduino Stalker hardware and using Processing software for the data visualization.

The main advantage is interoperability and communication between both PLC. The use of NI OPC server as the software interface reached interoperability and communication. There were developed two field applications to test interoperability. Laboratory virtual instrument engineering workbench (LabVIEW) uses as the software application for creating the user interface to control and monitor. This improvement show OPC server technology solves data compatibility issue between different driver controller’s and reducing development cost. Regardless of whether there are more than two different PLCs, it's enough to use the NI OPC server. Many accidents are caused by drowsy drivers. To prevent such accidents, it is necessary to create... more Many accidents are caused by drowsy drivers. To prevent such accidents, it is necessary to create a device that can detect early drowsiness on the driver and immediately wake the driver. From the study it is known that a reliable indicator to measure drowsiness is the average duration of eyelid closure. This paper presents a prototype of drowsiness detection on the driver using a low-cost EMG, called Myoware, which can be used to detect the closure of the eyelid without injuring the eyes, by simply attaching it to the skin around the eyelid. To facilitate this attachment, an eyeglass is used. Furthermore, with the addition of ESP8266, it has been possible to create a drowsiness level detector that can be monitored online via the internet.

The vehicle-based measurement system aims to achieve the non-intrusive drowsiness detection. The non-intrusive vehicle-based measurement achieved by placing sensors on the steering rod, gas pedal, and brake pedal. Drowsiness can be detected by comparing the position of the steering angle to the desired target angular position, especially when the difference in value of both is greater. Some sensors have been tested to obtain the actual steering angle position. From the test results, sensors that meet the criteria of accuracy are MPU6050 and HMC5883L. Both sensors have been tested in the prototyping of a vehicle-based drowsiness detection system with sufficient results. To increase the evaporation, it needs a control system that moves a vertical solar still to follow the azimuth angle of the sun. This paper presents a design of a GPS-based solar tracker system, that can moves the vertical solar still follow the azimuth angle of the sun. Furthermore, to determine the effect of this solar tracker system, research was done by comparing the power of 2 solar cells placed in different positions. The first solar cell was placed upright and rotated with the solar tracker system. The second solar cell was placed horizontally. The result showed that the power generated by the first solar cell is greater than the second solar cell.

This paper describes the development of a simple tool to record the sitting time of a user, and g... more This paper describes the development of a simple tool to record the sitting time of a user, and give a warning if his/her sitting time exceeds the specified time limit. The tool was mounted on a chair to make the user free from the hassle of carrying it. The tool was made using a Seeeduino Stalker, which is a microcontroller board for wireless sensor network, with data logger functionality. The tool was equipped with a pressure sensor, FSR, to determine whether the chair is occupied, and a Buzzer to provide a warning sign. LabVIEW software is used here to create a user-friendly display. By using the tool, it is expected that the user can reduce his/her sitting time.
