The equations are for peak ground acceleration (PGA), peak ground velocity (PGV), and 5% damped pseudo-absolute-acceleration spectra (PSA) at periods between 0.02 sec and 1 sec. The coefficients of the GMPEs are derived by empirical regression of the new NGA-East ground motion database. The analysis used a total of 6544 records of PGA with a distance range from less than 10 km up to 3500 km and the available data for regression become less for longer periods. The developed empirical GMPEs, though not well constrained from large magnitude observations, fit the ground motions from small to moderate magnitude (M<6) earthquakes in ENA quite well based on residual analysis.

They were interviewed through pretested semi-structured questionnaires at their working places of the upazilla health complexes at Sreepur, Kapasia, Kaligonj, Shivaloya, Saturia, Savar and Dhamrai under Dhaka division of Bangladesh. A total of 6 respondents (2 doctors, 2 nurses and 2 support staff) from each of the upazillas were recruited. Upazilla health complexes were running with average bed occupancy of ≥10/day and where ≥10 health personnel were working. The objective of this study was to assess the practice and knowledge on impact of the medical wastes of the health personnel working in the health complexes. The distribution of the respondents by their responses regarding environmental impact of medical wastes were recorded, analyzed and tabulated. Hundred percent (100.0%) respondents said about pollution of air, 89.7 % said

It has a great heritage and tradition which are very important in the field of tourism. Tourism relies on river based, temple based, religious monument based, historical based and archaeological based. There are undetermined numbers of people who visit there where there are present. Many foreigners come to visit Bangladesh at these places where many classes of people work there and they earn money. Bangladesh earns huge money from these sectors. River based touring places are Cox's Bazar, Saint Martin, Kutubdia, and Pirojpur district's river's daughter. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with three replications having four treatments viz., T0 (open field condition referred to as control), T1 (< 50 cm distance from the tree base), T2 (50-100 cm distance from the tree base) and T3 (>100 cm distance from the tree base). The result showed that growth and yield of bitter gourd were significantly influenced by the associated trees at different distances from the karanja tree base. It was found that all the growth parameter of bitter gourd viz. vine length, total leaves per plant, number of primary branches per plant, number of leaves per primary branches, number of female flower per plant, number of male flower per plant, number of fruits per plant, individual fruit weight, fresh and dry...

This study assessed breastfeeding knowledge, attitudes, and practices among women residing on the island of Abu Dhabi and identified associated factors. We conducted a cross-sectional study using a self-administered questionnaire among mothers visiting primary healthcare clinics in Abu Dhabi between November 2014 and 2015. Participants were women aged at least 18 years who had at least one child aged 2 years or younger at the time of the study. Breastfeeding knowledge, attitudes, and practices were assessed on the basis of experience with last child. Selected questions were used to develop a scaled scoring system to categorize these aspects as good, fair, or poor. Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as the act of feeding infants only breast milk since birth, without providing water, formula, or other liquid supplements. The participants were 344 women. Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months...

The main findings are: (1) in East Asia, the actual growth rate exceeds that required to achieve this goal, while in South Asia, it falls short of the required rate; (2) the required rates of agricultural growth are, however, higher than the actual in both East Asia and South Asia; (3) moderate growth and reduction of income inequality will have a substantial poverty reduction impact; and, finally, (4) even modest improvements in institutional quality will reduce poverty substantially through higher incomes.

Methods: Survey data were collected from 87 people who agreed to the online survey from March 22 to May 28, 2021, with about 160 people registered with the Korea Organ Transplant Coordinator Association working as organ transplant coordinators at 107 hospitals in Korea. For ethical conflict and decision-making measurement, the tool developed by Son Hee-jin (2000), the tool used by Park Jung-hye (2002), the tool used by Kim Mi-ran (2007), the ethical competency tool was revised and supplemented, and the tool developed to find out the need for education. The collected data were analyzed using SAS using independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results: In general characteristics, it was 87.4% for women and the average age was 38.9 years old (±6.72). The average nurse experience was 172.2 months (±89.50) and the organ transplant coordinator experience was 89.3 months (±59.89). The tasks in charge were brain-dead only 46.0%, transplanted only 28.7%, and brain-dead+transplanted 25.3%. Ethical conflict experience averaged 3.5 points (±0.86), the lower area of ethical conflict averaged 3.8 points (±1.01), the average conflict with the medical team averaged 3.7 points (±1.02), and the average conflict with brain-dead care averaged 2.5 points (±0.96). In terms of the degree of consideration when making ethical decisions, the doctor's order was 4.9 points (±0.82), lower than other items, but when asked which opinions were reflected in the decision-making when ethical problems occurred, the doctor was the highest at 62.1%. The average degree of ethical competency was 4.7 points (±0.51), followed by an average willingness to ethics 5.2 points (±0.61), an average technology for ethical practice 4.7 points (±0.53), an average self-awareness 4.7 points (±0.61), and an average strength 4.3 points (±0.70). As for the ethics education needs, the average score for ethics education needs was 5.0 points (±0.94), and ethics related to organ transplantation was the highest at 73.6%. Ethical conflict according to general characteristics differed significantly depending on the task in charge of transplant patients and their family relations (t=3.03, P=0.003), and it was confirmed that there was a significant difference according to the experience of organ transplant coordinator in the area of professional work (t=3.32, P=0.001). Ethical competencies according to general characteristics were found to have significant differences according to the experience of organ transplant coordinator in the field of awareness (t=-2.21, P=0.030). Ethical conflict is about turnover intention (r=0.472, P<0.05), job satisfaction is ethical competency (r=0.277, P<0.05). Regarding the need for ethics education (r=0.229, P<0.05), ethical competency showed a significant positive correlation with the need for ethics education (r=0.474, P<0.05). As the turnover intention increased, the demand for ethics education increased significantly (t=2.46, P=0.016), and as the ethical competency increased, the demand for ethics education increased significantly (t=4.94, P<0.001). Conclusions: A significant difference in the degree of ethical conflict according to general characteristics was confirmed, and organ transplant coordinators were a group with high ethical and ethical education needs, and the higher the ethical competency, the higher the ethical education demand. Based on the research results, ethics education suitable for organ transplant coordinators should be developed, standardized ethics education for supporting ethical decisions, establishing moral ethics of professionals, and ethics education applicable to clinical sites.

Although the parametric active contour model (PACM) can be used to segment the LV of CMRI image, it requires the initial contour. This is a manual and time-consuming approach and the accuracy is subjective. The main contribution of this proposal is to introduce an artificial neural network based regression model to predict the initial contour to detect the LV area of a CMRI image. With the automatic predicted contour points by the proposed method, a number of CMRI images are segmented by PACM to get the LV area. The results demonstrate that the proposed automatic segmentation procedure can segment the LV area with negligible deviation with less required time. In addition, this research work also customizes the finely fitted parametric values of the PACM for the CMRI images.
