A modern information system is necessary to effectively monitor and manage the given processes. The information system of private sidings is a subsystem of the railway integrated information systems, and as such it should provide basic information about the users (owners/co-users), contracts, technical and exploitation characteristics of the track, volume of work, demand and supply for cargo cars, car retention in the private siding system, transportation revenue, car rental revenue, etc.This paper presents a review of a model for managing technical and cargo operations on private sidings, which is the basis of the aforementioned information system.
The need to increase the competitiveness of rail traffic has caused the initiation of the project... more The need to increase the competitiveness of rail traffic has caused the initiation of the project of the European Rail Traffic Management System in Europe that allows interoperability of rail transport. By using this system is achieved faster and cheaper rail transport over the entire European continent. As an integral part of that system mobile radio system for railway purposes Global System for Mobile Communications-Railways (GSM-R) is a factor influencing the improvement and increase driving safety on trains throughout the European rail network. The paper describes the modern technology of digital radio system for railway purposes based on the norms of the global system for mobile communications GSM-R, which has been adopted for use in rail traffic and is UIC’s choice between different technologies. These are examples and experiences, and the introduction of modern wireless communication in railway network of the German, Holland and French railways.

Uloga dioničarskog društva rumsko-vrdničke lokalne željeznice u izgradnji i eksploataciji pruge R... more Uloga dioničarskog društva rumsko-vrdničke lokalne željeznice u izgradnji i eksploataciji pruge Ruma-Vrdnik i rudnika u Vrdniku A : U radu autori prikazuju ulogu Dioničarskog društva rumsko-vrdničke lokalne željeznice u izgradnji i eksploataciji pruge Ruma-Vrdnik te rudnika u Vrdniku. Dioničarsko društvo osnovano je 1889. u Zagrebu. Pruga Ruma-Vrdnik otvorena je za promet 4. srpnja 1889. Izgrađena je za potrebe eksploatacije rudnika u Vrdniku. I rudnik i pruga bili su u vlasništvu obitelji Pongratz. Nakon prodaje pruge i rudnika državi, godine 1907, prestao je razlog postojanja željezničkog dioničkog društva te je ono ušlo u proces likvidacije. Nakon prestanka s radom rudnika mrkog ugljena u Vrdniku, sedamdesetih godina 20. stoljeća obustavljen je cjelokupan promet na pruzi Ruma-Vrdnik.

Utilizing the compound’s biocompatibility many issues, ranging from surgical to cosmetic, can be solved. As of recent, studies indicate, methylcellulose has been used as a physically cross-linked gel, which cannot sustain a solid form within the body. Therefore, this report will ultimately explore the means of creating a non-degradable, injectable, chemically cross-linking methylcellulose- based hydrogel. Methylcellulose will be evaluated and altered in experiments conducted within this report and a chemical cross-linker, developed from Jeffamine ED 2003 (O,O′-Bis(2-aminopropyl) polypropylene glycol-block-polyethylene glycol-block-polypropylene glycol), will be created. Experimentation with these elements is outlined here, and will ultimately prompt future revisions and analysis
Passenger wayfinding and informing at railway station areas is not properly done in most cases. I... more Passenger wayfinding and informing at railway station areas is not properly done in most cases. Informing passengers at railways, especially in the railway station area represents a complex system of wayfinding, which must be given proper attention. Providing information about facilities that are present at a railway station and wayfinding directions are elements which must be available and clearly installed for all passengers using them. In practice these basic postulates are not used properly all the time. The update of information about railway facilities and wayfinding directions for passengers can be done in two ways: by routine maintenance and by station capacity reconstruction. In this paper the authors have presented the example of railway station Ovca, on the Beograd- Vrsac line, regarding the reconstruction and modernization of the station capacity with the goal of improving passenger informing of station facilities and their wayfinding.

The traditional business model, which is currently applied in passenger transport, and the integration of internet services of carriers on the e-business platform are analyzed, with the help of advanced internet technologies. In line with the growing trend of the application of Internet technologies, the railway must use and implement innovative transaction models in business according to current constraints, in order to consider the needs of real and potential service users.
New technologies in rail, including devices for infrastructure and transport, have meant improved... more New technologies in rail, including devices for infrastructure and transport, have meant improved safety, comfort, and speed of services. It has also brought new problems for the AC 25 kV 50 Hz traction power supply system with a specific filter-compensation device in traction substations of the Serbian Railways. These problems have resulted in some specific behavior issues during operation modes. For these reasons, research activities during last several years in engineering departments at the Railway College of Vocational Studies in Belgrade have been focused on studying the behavior of the traction system during selected operation states with traction vehicles with diode converters. The main findings of these problems are detailed in this paper.
U ovom radu je prikazan metodološki postupak istraživanja predmetnoj temi utvrđivanja stava koris... more U ovom radu je prikazan metodološki postupak istraživanja predmetnoj temi utvrđivanja stava korisnika usluga prema inovativnom modelu elektronskog poslovanja koji je zasnovan na naprednim internet tehnologijama, sa osnovnim ciljem povećanja svih segmenata kvaliteta prevozne usluge u železničkom transportu. Novi poslovni modeli elektronskog poslovanja u oblasti železničkog transporta pored mogućnosti informisanja pružaju I komunikaciju u kojoj se stvaraju preduslovi za realizaciju poslovnih aktivnosti za nabavku e-karte. Na osnovu tradicionalnog i skalabilnog (proširenog) modela poslovanja, postupak realizacije zahteva fizički pristup korisnika usluge u objektu transportne organizacije za nabavku prevozne karte. Pored navedenog transportna organizacija izdvaja određena novčana sredstva za plate zaposlenih i smanjenjem broja izvršioca tj. zaposlenih koji su direktnoj komunikaciji sa korisnicima usluga, stvara dobre preduslove za uštedu i ulaganje u inovativne modele. Analizirani prikupljeni i obrađeni podaci anketiranih korisnika na osnovu testiranja varijabli pitanja i odgovora na relaciji Beograd-Vršac i natrag, ukazuju na pozitivan stav prema inovativnom modelu elektronskog poslovanja, i još jedan razlog da se podrazumeva plan osavremenjavanja prodajne mreže i nabavka softvera za poslovne procese ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) sistem u cilju modernizacije i unapređenja prodajne mreže. U konačnom rezultatu to utiče na poboljšanje imidža železničke organizacije u poslovnoj okolini i stvaranje pozitivne klime za povećanje kvaliteta usluge i održavanje iskazanog nivoa poverenja korisnika usluga.

The aim of the paper is to detect the conflict situations in station and analyses impact of infrastructure elements malfunction on train delays. Model was tested on mainline station Mjölby in southeastern Sweden.

Forecasts refer to the introduction of the European 'Agency for high-speed railway systems, privatization of the railways and opening of the railways to the competitive trends of the services market. In the light of the fact that these measures affect, apart from the EC member state railways, the Austrian and Swiss Railways, also it seems inevitable that the Yugoslav Railways must find their respective place in the process.
