Besides suppressing specific pathogens, how these disinfectants impact soil health, especially soil microbial communities, is yet to be systemically determined. The objectives of this study were to examine the effects of three representative disinfectants, including the dazomet fumigant, fenaminosulf fungicide, and kasugamycin antibiotic on chemical properties, enzymatic activities, and microbial communities in soil for cucumber cultivation. Results showed that 14 days after soil treatment with these chemicals, residual content of dazomet and kasugamycin quickly declined in soil and were undetectable, while fenaminosulf residues were found at 0.48 ± 0.01 mg/kg. Total nitrogen and total carbon increased in soil after dazomet treatment. Urease and sucrase activities were significantly restrained after disinfectant application. The force control accuracy of the pneumatic constant force system could be greatly affected by its nonlinear hysteresis characteristics in the process from the cylinder input to the force output at the end of the device. A Rational Bezier based state fitting method (BSFM) has been presented for calibrating the inherent nonlinearity of the low-cost pneumatic constant force system. Compared with the most widely used PSFM, which is a Polynomial based state fitting method, the BSFM could calibrate the strong inherent nonlinearity of the system more smoothly with the lower ordered model and in a continuous form rather than the piecewise form of the PSFM. The BSFM could maintain a balance between simplicity and precision. Through a series of comparative experiments with different contact forces and feed rates, the proposed method has smaller force overshoot and when active force control is turned on the force variation is greatly reduced to less than 2 N. The average roughness of the workpiece reached 0.4 µm after polishing.

A common pervasive theme in existing DG literature is domain-invariant representation learning with various invariance assumptions. However, prior works restrict themselves to an impractical assumption for real-world challenges: If a mapping induced by a deep neural network (DNN) could align the source domains well, then such a mapping aligns a target domain as well. In this paper, we simply take DNNs as feature extractors to relax the requirement of distribution alignment. Specifically, we put forward a novel angular invariance and the accompanied norm shift assumption. Based on the proposed term of invariance, we propose a novel deep DG method dubbed Angular Invariance Domain Generalization Network (AIDGN). The optimization objective of AIDGN is developed with a von-Mises Fisher (vMF) mixture model. Extensive experiments on multiple DG bench...

However, traditional pest image segmentation methods are limited, ineffective and time-consuming, which causes difficulty in their promotion and application. Deep learning methods have become the main methods to address the technical challenges related to pest recognition. We propose an improved deep convolution neural network to better recognize crop pests in a real agricultural environment. The proposed network includes parallel attention mechanism module and residual blocks, and it has significant advantages in terms of accuracy and real-time performance compared with other models. Extensive comparative experiment results show that the proposed model achieves up to 98.17% accuracy for crop pest images. Moreover, the proposed method also achieves a better performance on the other public dataset. This study has the potential to be applied in real-world appl...

In this study, we simulate different paths for achieving policy objectives, and explore the linkages between those paths and land use change. The IPAT model was used to simulate the carbon emissions generated from a natural development scenario, an ideal policy scenario, and a retributive carbon emission scenario in China from 2020 to 2030. The simulation results were incorporated into the CLUMondo model as a demand driver to simulate the land use change in 2030. The results show that carbon emission peak policy can somewhat reduce carbon emissions and increase building land in a regulated way. However, the policy may also lead to a short-term surge in carbon emissions, a reactive expansion of arable land and building land. This may reduce losses in economic development when carbon emissions are limited, but does not achieve the integration of social, econom...

First, the frame identifier is used to describe the source or destination node of the information frame, and the message broadcast information is marked. Secondly, the message broadcast information is filtered by determining whether the frame identifier is the same as the expected filter identifier. Afterwards, in order to smoothly transmit long messages, it is split into short messages and reassembled for transmission. Finally, the CAN bus transmission rate with the optimal frame space of 500 kbps is calculated, which enhances the real-time performance of the massage chair dummy detection. Through this method, the speed, quality and efficiency of information transmission can be effectively improved. This method is easy to generalize and can be applied to all CAN buses.

In the research, the indoor half-section pile small model test and ANSYS finite element simulation are mainly used, and the two types of analysis results are compared to ensure the reliability of the failure mechanism and the bearing theory. The innovative point of this paper is mainly the test method, which uses the form of half-section pile to better observe the entire experiment process from the loading of the concrete expanded-plate (CEP) piles to the failure of the soil; the test soil adopts fine silty sand and uses a self-made soil loader which can be disassembled, taking into account the influence of moisture content, an important influencing factor on the bearing capacity. The test method is more feasible and the test results are more reliable.

The synthesis of 3D hollow-structured ZnIn 2 S 4 , however, is limited by the lack of suitable template or synthesis methods, thereby restricting the wide application of ZnIn 2 S 4 in the field of photocatalysis. Herein, Ce-doped ZnIn 2 S 4 photocatalysts with hollow nanocages are obtained via one-step hydrothermal method with an ordered large-pore tetrakaidecahedron cerium-based metal-organic frameworks (Ce-MOFs) as template and Ce ion source. The doping of Ce and the formation of ZnIn 2 S 4 tetrakaidecahedron hollow nanocages with ultrathin nanosheet subunits are simultaneously induced by the Ce-MOFs, making this groundbreaking work. The Ce-doped ZnIn 2 S 4 with a nonspherical 3D hollow nanostructure inherit the tetrakaidecahedron shape of the Ce-MOF templates, and the shell is composed of ultrathin nanosheet subunits. Both theoretical and experimental results indicate that the doping of Ce and the formation of hollow nanocages increase light capture and the separation of photogenerated charge carriers.

We compared biofilm formation on glass in flow cells, and assayed pellicle (air–liquid interface biofilm) formation in stagnant liquid cultures by confocal laser scanning microscopy. The TOL-carrying strains formed pellicles and thick biofilms, whereas the same strains without the plasmid displayed little adherent growth. Microscopy using fluorescent nucleic acid-specific stains revealed differences in the production of extracellular polymeric substances: TOL carriage leads to more extracellular DNA (eDNA) in pellicles and biofilms. Pellicles were dissolved by DNase I treatment. Enhanced cell lysis due to plasmid carriage was ruled out as the mechanism for eDNA release. We report, for the first time, that carriage of a conjugative plasmid leads to increased biofilm formation by production of eDNA.

In order to find out the optimal space and depth of subsurface drainage tubes for tomato cultivation in greenhouse salty soils in south of China, drainage treatments with different buried methods were designed, the tomato quality, yield, Irrigation Water Use Efficiency (IWUE) and surface soil electricity conductivity in the treatments were observed during 2010 to 2012 growth seasons and the principle component analysis model and projection pursuit model were used to select the treatment with best comprehensive effects. Results showed that: (1) The tomato yield was increased by 14.21 to 50.29% during the growth seasons; (2) Surface soil EC decreased significantly, although in the process of experiments, surface soil EC of some treatments showed a temporary rise; (3) Under the same buried depth, the closer arrangement of subsurface drainage tubes appeared to be more effective for the yield gaining and topsoil desalination; (4) T7 was proved to be the optimal treatment according to the calculations of projection pursuit model, the comprehensive effects of which were the best, mainly embodying in improving the tomato quality, increasing the yield and IWUE and reducing salinity in topsoil. In this study, 0.8m depth combining with 4m space was selected as the optimized layout of subsurface drainage tubes for the tomato cultivation in greenhouse salty soils of south China.
