This project attempts to analyse whether creative teaching produces creative learning in the Key ... more This project attempts to analyse whether creative teaching produces creative learning in the Key Stage 3 languages classroom by identifying effective teaching and learning strategies and any barriers to creative learning as perceived by the students in the Year 9 French mixed ability class I observed and taught during my second school placement and by languages teachers from that school. Data were gathered from questionnaires, interviews, observations, participation and teaching. The report concludes that creativity can come out in various ways and that sometimes it does not depend exclusively on the teacher. However, when the teacher advocates the use of creativity in the classroom, they are removing the boundaries that confine the students' imagination and sending off the message to the students that their classroom is a safe place to experiment and be creative.
