Furthermore, in defining reading one can argue that it is a relationship between a text and the reader’s processing strategies and background knowledge. Birch, (2007) and Rumelhart, (1980) explain that reading is an “interactive process”. It is important to mention that teaching reading requires much attention of the teacher and different approaches in teaching reading may be subjected to the success in creating an active reader. Top-down approach, bottom-up approach, interactive approach, extensive reading approach, intensive reading approach, phonic approach, multi-sensory approach, linguistic method, are some approaches which can be used in teaching reading and this paper focuses on top-down approach, bottom up approach and extensive reading approach.

Newspaper is one of the earliest methods of written communication which is still vastly used all around the world with the purposes of spreading news, knowledge as well as entertainment. It consists of a number of different genres to address almost every type of people, such as daily newspapers, educational, women's, men's, children's, entertainment, political or economical even notices and advertisements. In analyzing the Discourses of printed newspapers, a number of discourses can be identified such as the journalism, the politicalization, profit motivation, the socialization of concept and ideologies, the prioritization for newsworthiness, the sensationalization of information, and this paper is pivoted on analyzing these discourses in printed newspapers.

According to M.Hashemi and M. Aziznezhad (2011) "etymology is the scientific study of the origin, history as well as the derivation of words". Through analyzing these definitions one can argue that by analyzing the processes of word formation which are discussed in morphology, the classifications of the origin of the words can be learnt. It can be agreed to the argument depending on a comparison of word formation analysis and the classification of the origin of words which is mentioned in this piece of writing.

The main discussion through the poem is done about the colonialism which includes the effects of the colonization as well as the acts of inhumanity of the rulers which created a massive harm to the natives as well as their country. Derek Walcott was a writer born in the island of Saint Lucia, in West Indies, which is a former British Colony. He was a poet as well as a play writer and he published his first poem when he was fourteen years old in a newspaper. In 1962 he published a book, “In a Green Night: poems” which was a massive breakout of his work. In 1992 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature. “A Far Cry from Africa” is one of his significant poems and it discusses the influence of colonization in Caribbean islands.
