In this MA dissertation, two museums of very different countries-Netherlands and Brazil are the protagonists. The Groninger Museum and the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo are presented in this thesis focussed on museum education. The educational practices and missions of these two cultural institutions are revealed and connected to already existing pedagogical theories.
