The general overview created through the application of the international standards and success factors in these two areas on the Macedonian case, can serve as a starting point in the creation of an overarching public diplomacy strategy that will include a plan for national branding. The key objective of this thesis is to determine if and how public diplomacy and national branding can support the accomplishment of the strategic goals of the Macedonian foreign policy, but also to which extent they can serve as an internal integration factor through their influence over the construction of the country’s image, or its national brand.
