Prophylactically, lockdown, and social distancing are the current strategies to curb the spread;nevertheless, it is pivotal to contemplate the implications of COVID-19 in a broader population's mental health. Working parents should share their responsibilities;if you are unable to focus on small work such as housekeeping, similar to your previous standard, then practicing self-compassion is essential. As a parent, it is advisable to plan some single time for yourself, because your mental and physical health directly impacts your children. It is a common perception that cultural powers and organisations are hegemonic-centred, resulting in a network of invisible powers. Hegemonic power processes are an integral part of daily social and cultural practices that help to perpetuate power relations. The repercussions of hegemony can be seen in various aspects of society, such as caste, class, ethnicity, occupation, gender, tradition, etc. This paper enlightens on the gendered hegemonic cultural practice of prostitution (sex work) as a traditional institution in the Bedia community. The intensive fieldwork in Habla hamlet, a sub-village of Luhari village (village assembly) of the Bedia community in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, India, was conducted to reveal the hegemonic practices in the community. The COVID-19 outbreak might have several consequences on mental health [1e3]. It has been discovered from recent studies that the fear of corona has also affected the content googled by Indian internet users, as Internet users are using Google as a great source of information [4]. They involved in institutional prostitution from long ago. Qualitative and quantitative methods have been used to examine the source of authority and power to continue such deviant practices as an occupation. We also enlighten some factors behind the women's support to the system or justification of their natives to prostitution as a usual occupation. The analysis of data reveals that respondents consider their long history and experiences of prostitution as an ordinary occupation. They were forced to live like a nomadic group due to the relegation of the king from the kingdom. In colonial duration, British Government formatted law against them, and after the independent government still did not do something for them. Their traditional occupation has played a primary role in their survival, so Bedia managed a system to continue the tradition.
