Ketoprofen is a better tolerated NSAID because of its limited numbers of adverse effects and topical formulation has excellent permeation and absorption into the skin. The present investigation was to develop novel Ketoprofen cream formulation in combination of most effective and potent anti-inflammatory agent curcuma longa, which is reported to possess strong anti-inflammatory effects in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis, according to the study by university of Arizona researchers. Combination of Ketoprofen and curcuma longa is good rational, where curcuma longa produces synergistic anti-inflammatory effects with ketoprofen. Formulation containing fixed concentrations (3%) of ketoprofen with curcuma longa was prepared. To access the efficacy of formulation stability studies, spread ability, tu...

The reinforcement provided by these strips enable the mass to resist the tension in a way which the earth alone could not. The source of this resistance to tension is the internal friction of soil, because the stresses that are created within the mass are transferred from soil to the reinforcement strips by friction.

Our goal in this research is to develop such guidelines on the basis of empirical results. In this paper, we present a preliminary experiment comparing human behavior and performance between a head-mounted display (HMD) and a four-sided spatially immersive display (SID). In particular, we studied users' preferences for real vs. virtual turns in the VE. The results indicate that subjects have a significant preference for real turns in the HMD and for virtual turns in the SID. The experiment also found that females are more likely to choose real turns than males. We suggest that HMDs are an appropriate choice when users perform frequent turns and require spatial orientation.

These nanotube layers were grown directly on top of an iron current collector with a vertical orientation via a simple one-step synthesis. The crystalline structures were obtained by heat treating the as-prepared (amorphous) iron oxide nanotube layers in ambient air environment. A detailed morphological and compositional characterization of the resultant materials was performed via transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectroscopy. The XRD patterns were further analyzed using Rietveld refinements to gain in-depth information on their quantitative phase and crystal structures after heat treatment. The results demonstrated that the crystalline iron oxide nanotube layers exhibit better electrochemical properties than the amorphous iron oxide nanotube layers when evaluated in terms of the areal capacity, rate capability, and cycling performance. Such an improved electrochemical response was attributed to the morphology and three-dimensional framework of the crystalline nanotube layers offering short, multidirectional transport lengths, which favor rapid Li(+) ions diffusivity and electron transport.

The ability of the flow to decide a horizontal or vertical partitioning of the multilevel programmable tree network based on design specifications is a defining feature. The break-point of vertically partitioned tree is designed to balance the placement of logic blocks and switch blocks into multiple tiers while the break-point of horizontally partitioned tree is designed to optimize the interconnect delay of the programmable tree network. We finally evaluate the performance, area and power consumption of the proposed 3D HT-FPGA using the newly developed flow and show that vertical and horizontally partitioned 3D stacked HT-FPGA improves speed by 16% and 55% respectively. Silicon footprint reduced by 50% for vertical and 46 % for horizontal partitioning method and power consumption reduced by 35% compared to 2D counterpart.

They conclude that new frameworks, tools, and techniques are needed to understand and maximize the benefits of teacher networks. The paper presents preliminary data to illuminate both the power and limitations of current tools and techniques for studying cyber-enabled networks using data from a large, mature online network of K-12 educators. The findings raise fundamental questions that are beyond the capability of most education researchers and evaluators to address rigorously and cost-effectively. The authors propose a research agenda designed to create and validate a new generation of research tools and techniques that enable researchers ask more incisive and convergent research questions and help school leaders and teachers support, learn, and collaborate wi...

The resulting coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) are solved by optimal homotopy analysis method (OHAM). The convergence of our results is discussed by the so-called total average squared residual error. Analytical results are presented for different values of the physical parameters, such as the mixed convection parameters, the Brownian motion parameter, and thermophoresis parameter. Reversed flow is observed for sufficiently high buoyancy (mixed convection parameter). Further we investigate the effects of the Brownian motion parameter and thermophoresis parameter on the fluid flow and heat transfer at the interface of the two regions.
