The purpose of this classroom action research (CAR) is to determine the extent to which students' learning outcomes in mathematics are improved by applying the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Method. In this classroom action research (CAR), it is carried out in 2 cycles, from the results of the actions taken; it is proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes by achieving the classical mastery set that is 85%. Classical completeness 71% obtained in the first cycle, can be increased in the second cycle to 100%. In terms of student activity, there was also an increase, namely in the first cycle, the category of quite active increased to a category. The results of this action research indicate that the application of the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics with completeness reaching 100%.

This research aims to investigate the material used in English teaching-learning process for young learners in 5th grade 5A and 5B classes and in 6th grade 6A and 6B classes of an Elementary school of SDN 2 Kekeri in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The subjects of the study were a teacher and her students. To find the data in question research, the research used two types of instruments that are checklist observation and score rubric. The result shows there are four materials that most student teachers used to practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking English through games, worksheets, and role-plays, such as slides, songs, photographs, and drawings. It was found that their average score of 88.25 in 5th grade and an average score of 88.36 in 6th grade. Thus, it can be concluded that their English is in very well category.

The aim of the research is to improve student’s speaking skill through role play technique. The subjects of this research were 24 students at the third semester of Secretary Department of Universitas Teknologi Mataram Academic Year 2019/2020. The result showed that there was a significant improvement of student’s speaking skill after using role play technique in teaching learning process. The students are able to speak in English fluently and confidently. The finding shows that role-play teaching technique is work well and can be applied to improve students speaking skill.

T... more Sorong serah aji krama is one of important traditional wedding ceremonies in Lombok, Indonesia. This paper investigated the illocutionary speech acts of Pembayun in sorong serah aji krama at sasak traditional wedding in Bonjeruk village. This study designed as descriptive qualitative research. The data source of this study was collected through video recording, interview, and note-taking. The result of the study shows five types of illocutionary speech acts: assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive. There are no data shows the existence of declarative illocutionary act in this research. Therefore, the percentage of speech act found: assertive 57.14%, directive 14.28%, commissive 4.76%, expressive 23.80%, and declarative 0%.

The Entrepreneurial Skills Education Program (PKW) is an educational service for courses and training to provide knowledge, skills, and foster an entrepreneurial mental attitude in managing self-potential and the environment that can be used as provisions for entrepreneurship. LKP Berlian Eduacation Training College is a part of non-formal education that is very active and plays a role in providing knowledge of entrepreneurship skills and attitudes for the people of Central Lombok.
The claim that serial verb constructions encode a single event is made with great regularity in t... more The claim that serial verb constructions encode a single event is made with great regularity in the literature on serial verbs but is a claim that I find difficult to test in critical cases (Comrie, 1995). Sasaknese has a lot of serial verbs. This unique feature cannot be easily found in every language. This paper focused on analyzing the notion of ‘single-event’ in Sasaknese V-V constructions. In this study, the X-bar theory is applied to discuss the constituent structure of serial verb constructions. This study used the data of Sasaknese meno-mené native speakers’ utterances by using observation method. The result of the study shows that Sasak serial verb constructions have V-V structure that describe one single event as a single predicate

The focus of this paper is on the linguistic landscapes of Kuta Mandalika as an international tourism destination where the MotoGP 2021 will be held in Lombok. This study comprises a quantitative-qualitative analysis of linguistic landscape in Kuta Mandalika as the research location, particularly Jalan Raya Kuta, Jalan Pariwisata, Jalan Pariwisata Pantai Kuta, Jalan Sawe-Baturiti, Jalan Sengkol, Jalan Beach Walk, and Jalan Mandalika Resort Pantai Putri Nyale. The result shows that Kuta Mandalika as a tourist destination almost has a complete tourism support facilities where most facilities are the 364 hotel/ accommodation (51.27%). The study also found that there are six languages make up the linguistic landscape of Kuta mandalika, as following: 1) English, 2) Indonesian, 3) Sasaknese, 4) Italian, 5) Arabic, and 6) Japanese

This research is a qualitative study using interview techniques. The informants in this study were active students from three different universities in Mataram: 3 students are from University of Mataram, 7 students are from The State Islamic University of Mataram, and 8 students are from Mataram Technopreneur University. The result shows that applications that are preferred in online lectures, as many as 10 students or 55.5% of students choose E-learning, as many as 7 students or 38.8% of students choose Google Classroom, GoogleMeet and WhatsApp, and 1 student or 5.5% of students chooses Zoom Meeting application. Students perceived that online lectures during this pandemic were good enough to reduce the spread of the Covid-19. However, in its implementation, students as a whole or 100% prefer face-to-face lectures compared to online lectures

This paper aims to analyze the semantic types, the characteristics, and the constituent structure... more This paper aims to analyze the semantic types, the characteristics, and the constituent structure and functional structure of Sasak serial verb constructions. The theory of Typology and Lexical Functional Grammar (LFG) were used to analyze the data. The data in this research were taken from the uttarances of speakers of meno-mene dialect of Sasak. This study is designed as descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected through observation, interview, and reflective-introspective methods with recording and elicitation techniques. The results show that Sasak serial verb constructions have ten semantic types, which are motion, direction, instrument, comitative, manner, aspect and mood, benefactive, causative, cause-effect, and synonym.
