A private television station in Indonesia is experiencing problems related to the credibility of the election of a resource person in the show. Problems occur when one a journalist of TVOne displays case a broker in the body of the Indonesian Police Headquarters (Police Headquarters) in the program Apa Kabar Indonesia Pagi, on March 18, 2010. The program was to discuss the hot topics by displaying a competent resource persons. The presence of the Integrated Online Complaints (POT) application created by the Bekasi City Adm... more The presence of the Integrated Online Complaints (POT) application created by the Bekasi City Administration provides an opportunity for citizens to submit complaints and reports various problems that occured. However, community participation using this application is still limited. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the influence of POT application users characteristics on their communication behavior to the Bekasi City Administration. This research used an explanatory sequential mixed method with the total sample consisted of 100 people. The results showed that the perception of trust, suitability, and perceived ease of POT users were significantly related to information seeking and information dissemination. This indicated that POT users would disseminate information when they believed the application has helped them in solving problems. Users who felt satisfied and considered the application easy to use also tended to recommend it to relatives, friends and others around their environment. POT users felt that the problems they have been facing were handled more quickly after reporting complaints through the application, However, the communication and response of the Bekasi City Administration were still inadequate.

Persaingan bisnis coffee shop yang ketat membuat “Pemerintah Kopi” mulai menetapkan positioning-n... more Persaingan bisnis coffee shop yang ketat membuat “Pemerintah Kopi” mulai menetapkan positioning-nya dalam membangun branding coffee shop “rasa pejabat harga merakyat” di Bekasi. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui taktik yang digunakan “Pemerintah Kopi” dalam memanfaatkan akun Instagram nya sebagai sarana membangun branding coffee shop “rasa pejabat harga merakyat” di Bekasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi digital dan dokumentasi dari konten-konten yang terdapat di akun Instagram “@pemkop.id”. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa key informan yakni marketing public relations dan admin media sosial menggunakan tahapan riset, planning, analisis, dan evaluasi dalam pembentukan branding melalui konten-konten di Instagram.

Thus, building pedestrian areas becomes one of priorities in developmental program of city. In order to ensure the success of program, social media is used to communicate development and maintenance program of pedestrian areas to people. However, local government of Bekasi seemed failing to relay those messages to people. Thus the present research aims to analyze how Bekasi government used social media to relay development and maintenance news related to pedestrian areas in Bekasi. The present research used a descriptive qualitative method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data reduction and triangulation were conducted using Nvivo 12 software. Abstrak-Pembangunan tidak selalu memberikan dampak positif terhadap sekitarnya tetapi juga dampak... more Abstrak-Pembangunan tidak selalu memberikan dampak positif terhadap sekitarnya tetapi juga dampak negatif. Perubahan sosial masyarakat adalah salah satunya dampak yang terjadi dari pembangunan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari kajian ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana terjadinya pembangunan dan perubahan sosial masyarakat Bekasi dipandang dari perspektif wacana di media massa. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif yang bersumber dari berita di media massa. Berita-berita tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan software Nvivo 11. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah perlu melakukan tinjauan ulang dan evaluasi terhadap ijin pembangunan apartemen dan kawasan, karena hal tersebut memberikan dampak perubahan sosial yang besar terhadap masyarakat sekitarnya. Hasil pemberitaan di media massa menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sekitar banyak terkena dampak negatif dari pembangunan tersebut. Agenda media, agenda pemerintah,dan agenda publik memiliki hubungan dengan terjadinya perubahan sosial.
