It is a premalignant condition that offers a formidable challenge in terms of prosthodontic rehabilitation, as complete denture retention has traditionally been attained by anatomic and mechanical means. The primary aim of a dentist is to overcome the myriad complications seen in patients suffering from OSMF and to restore the natural form and function of the oral cavity.
