The two inversion techniques complement each other for their advantages and disadvantages below and above the base speed. This paper proposes a unique strategy for the transition between SPWM and square wave by simply setting the frequency of the carrier signal equal to zero. The proposed methodology in a way uses only one inversion technique and realizes a seamless transition from the SPWM to square wave compared to conventional method in which modes are simply switched from SPWM to square wave and vice versa when the speed changes above and below the base speed, respectively. Computer simulations show that the proposed technique has smoother torque transition and thus a better speed response compared to conventional approach of inverter mode switching around the base speed. A hybrid approach is suggested in which a Sine Triangle Pulse Width Modulated (SPWM) inverter is used below the base speed and a square wave inverter is opted above the base speed. The transition between the SPWM and square wave is realized in a unique way by simply setting the frequency of carrier signal equal to zero. Thus the proposed methodology in a way uses only one PWM mode and the transition from the SPWM to square wave is seem less. The torque discontinuity which normally occurs during switching between the modes does not exist in the proposed strategy. The performance of proposed hybrid approach is validated through the simulation and experimental results on a small prototype induction motor for the volts per hertz speed control.

Methods Arthritis was induced in female rats by intradermal injection of MT37Ra. Arthritis was evaluated by arthritic score, body weight loss, paw volume measurement, and histological changes. The plantar test was used to evaluate the effect of NBD on hyperalgesia. Results The hyperalgesia (p \ 0.0001) and hind paw inflammation (p \ 0.034) was significantly decreased with parallel increase in the body weight of the NBD-treated (25 mg/kg) group compared to arthritic control rats. The antioxidant activity analysis demonstrated that the treatment of NBD significantly suppressed the levels of nitric oxide (p \ 0.001) and peroxide (p \ 0.002) with a significant increase in the glutathione (p \ 0.021) compared to the arthritic control group. Since the IL-1b and TNF-a are key pro-inflammatory cytokines in arthritis, we therefore measured their levels in the serum samples. In comparison to the arthritic control group, the NBD treatment significantly reduced the levels of IL-1b (p \ 0.003) and TNF-a (p \ 0.026). Conclusion Our results suggests that NBD is an antiarthritic agent that not only reduces the severity of the disease process but also affects contributing factors of arthritic inflammation including free radicals and inflammatory cytokines production. The advent of new chemical genetic tools and high-throughput screening technologies and platforms... more The advent of new chemical genetic tools and high-throughput screening technologies and platforms have already led and will continue to lead in accessing the natural product diversity of microorganisms. This paper represents a continuation of the work on the investigation into means of making better use of the advantages of new technologies and approaches in drug discovery that the Atta-ur-Rahman Research Institute of Natural Product Discovery (RiND) at MARA University of Technology has engaged in. MECSUS (Microtiter plate, Elicitors, Combination, Solid phase extraction, UHPLC, Statistical analysis) is a protocol for microbial metabolites studies that involves miniaturized parallel fermentations in 96-well microtiter plate with up to ninety six different media, parallel extraction and data analysis. The aforementioned protocol introduces elements of incremental novelty in the natural product screening program by means of combining and harnessing existing ideas, techniques, and technologies into a protocol for the implementation of the OSMAC (one strain many compounds) approach at micro-scale. Its main advantage is the decrease of the scale of operation with the use of the 96-well microtiter plates. It's benefits include the possibility of overcoming few issues such as processing time and human resources that have somewhat hampered the implementation of the OSMAC approach and/or the systematic study of a large library of microorganisms.

HLS categorizes hyperspectral images into segmented regions with discriminative features using reduced training size. The technique utilizes the modified breaking ties (MBT) algorithm for active learning and unsupervised learning-based regressors, viz. multinomial logistic regression, for hyperspectral image categorization. The probabilities estimated by multinomial logistic regression for each sample helps towards improved segregation. The high dimensionality leads to a curse of dimensionality, which ultimately deteriorates the performance of remote sensing data classification, and the problem aggravates further if labeled training samples are limited. Many studies have tried to address the problem and have employed different methodologies for remote sensing data classification, such as kernelized methods, because of insensitiveness towards the utilization of large dataset informat...

In this work, we have proposed a novel automated system for the classification and segmentation of landscapes using hyperspectral images. The proposed semi-supervised based approach has improved the extraction of spatial characteristics of the scene that has employed an extended multi-attribute profile (EMAP) by stacking of several attributes. The unlabeled data points located near the classifier boundaries are selected on the basis of entropy related to the corresponding class labels. In the next segmentation phase, MLR probabilities are computed against the output of classifier. Finally, maximum-a-posteriori segmentation is carried out on the multilevel logistic prior labels. The simulated results have obtained classification accuracy of 95.50% by comparing predicted labels with original ones. The segmentation accuracy, after...

The major reasons for this enhanced production were increase in support price from Rs.1050 to Rs.1200 per 40 Kg which encouraged improved seed usage and fertilizers. There was also better weather and comparatively more water available from the reservoirs. The target for wheat production for 2013- 14 has been fixed at 25.0 million tons. The fertilizer has raised the expenses of the inorganic farmers, which are not, used in organic farming. Cash cost in case of organic and inorganic farming is Rs. 23053.00 and 25846.00 respectively. The non-cash cost of organic and inorganic are Rs.19389.65 and 18815.10 respectively. Total cost is the combination of cash and non-cash costs that is Rs.42442.65 and 44661.00 in organic and inorganic farming. Gross margin (GM) is obtained by subtracting the cash cost from the gross value of product. GM is Rs.33142.65 ...

It has also become a breeding ground for militant organization. Russia, after her recent show of power in the Middle East has set her eye on its regional chessboard. For protecting its borders from incursion of extremism and the menace of drug trafficking which is gaining pace, Russia is entering Afghanistan again. This time she has found her 'favorite' jihadis on their side, the Taliban. How the entrance of resurgent power in the existing world order will have an impact on the country already going through the tough tides of unfolding international arena, Pakistan. The paper delineates, how the geo-political scenario compelled Moscow to get into bargaining with its rivals and what are the impacts on Pakistan.
