A person's way of life, mental health, and physical health are all intertwined. Individual dietary intake and nutritional status are major elements that influence mental health. COVID-19 makes the immune system weaker than its usual times. A balanced diet is necessary to recover and to prevent the immune system for fighting against the viruses. Millions of households have experienced mobility constraints and lifestyle adjustments as a result of COVID-19 over the course of several months. The aims of the research is just to see how COVID-19 affects people's lifestyles and mental health for the change of food habits among adult population in Khulna City. Primary data was used to perform this research which was collected from adult population in Khulna City with a well-organized questionnaire. For satisfying our study purposes, some statistical methods would be applied. A signi...

The young generation is getting addicted to smoking rapidly which is alarming for the future generation. It is essential to increase awareness about exposure to TS in the environment (TSE) among youths in Southeast Asia. This study targets to obtain a reliable prevalence and associated factors of TSE among youths in Southeast Asia, as well as, to identify the major influencing factors for smoking. The Global Youth Tobacco Study (GYTS), a nationwide representative cross-sectional survey based on school-going adolescents of tobacco consumption and underlying factors among youths was examined in this study. Datasets from Bangladesh (2013), Indonesia (2019), and Thailand (2015) representing Southeast Asia were selected to analyze the prevalence of exposure to TSE. Predictors namely fundamental features, smoking at home, enclosed public spaces and other public locations, lessons about the influence of TS in cl...

It is surprising that after the MDGs and going on SDGs still face challenges in the case of reaching accessible and affordable water for everyone among the people of developing countries. However, groundwater serves as the main source of water in Bangladesh , now a days bottle water, pipe water provide by WASA (water and sewer authority) widely used as popular drinking water source. This paper explained the background factors that were associated with household water source. Here for the study up to 22 years old household head (n=199) from three different wards of Khulna were the respondents. The data were collected through face-to-face interview and indepth interview with the help of a semi-structured interview schedule. Multinomial logistic regression and thematic analysis helped to analyze the data. The study is only limited to Khulna city, which was a hindrance to get proper information because the practices and demographics vary from place to place. The results found a significant association between water source and socio economic and demographic factors like income, gender, education, dwelling status. The study shows that comparatively high earning people preferred pipe water and submersible pump having chi-square 7.947 (<0.05). This study clearly summarized that the association between water source and household factors. According to the study,78.9% female were collected water for their family. In addition, qualitative part summarized various problem related with water source.

This study aims to examine the determinants and patterns of current tobacco smoking (CTS) exposure among male and female adults at rural and urban places of residences. Material and methods: Data set selected for this study covers a nationally representative sample of 8,146 respondents extracted from the Global Adult Tobacco (GATS) Survey-2011 Indonesia. The frequency distribution was used to introduce the response variable along with several independent variables with primary information. The chi-square test was executed to find the association between the study variable with different selected variables. In logistic regression, CTS exposure status of adults based on male and female with different places of residence was used as the response variable. Demographic and socioeconomic variables, health knowledge about CTS, attitude and perception of tobacco smoking (TS) restrictions were considered as predictor variables. Results: Aged male adults (above 44 years old) were less exposure and females in all age groups were more exposure to tobacco smoking compared to reference group. Only female respondents who were living with large families of more than five members had higher risk to be exposed to CTS but females were less exposed compared to males in both rural and urban regions. Better education, higher wealth index, better health knowledge and practice of no smoking at home were associated with lower CTS exposure in all types of cases. Conclusions: Prevention and control processes should not be neglected in public health policies. Smoking policy should be implemented and enforced by each parts of Indonesia.

Geographically, Bangladesh is a low-lying flood plain country with only a few hills in the south-east and the north-east part. Undoubtedly, education is a principal factor of socio-economic development, but regrettably, Bangladesh is suffering from the uncontainable effects of floods. After considering such issues, the foremost focus of this study was to recognize both the academic challenges faced by school-going children during a flood and examine the impact of the flood on the health of the children. Methods: Interview schedule, questionnaire survey, and document analyses had been carried out for this study. The study design was carried out by applying a mixed method. Students of Biddanondokathi Government Primary School and Mangalkot Secondary School from Mirzapur village of Mangalkot union in...

Early detection of PD is difficult due to its unpredictable nature, and diagnosis is limited regarding specificity and sensitivity. Considering the uncertainties, the current study used network-based integrative system biology approaches to reveal promising molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets for PD. In this study, brain transcriptomics gene expression microarray datasets (GSE160208 and GSE124571) of human PD were evaluated and 35 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified. By employing network-based protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis on these DEGs, 10 central hub proteins, including SPP1, FKBP5, HPRT1, CDKN1A, BAG3, HSPB1, SYK, TNFRSF1A, PTPN6, and CD44, were identified. Employing bioinformatics approaches, a variety of transcription factors (EGR1, SSRP1, POLR2A, TARDP, and NR2F1) and m...
