Characterisation of CEN's functional groups was done using Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy while elemental analysis was carried out using CHNS analysis and X-ray fluorescence. The experiments were carried out by varying the adsorbent dosage, pH, ionic strength, contact time and initial dye concentration. The pseudo-second-order kinetics model best represented the experimental data for both CEN-MB and CEN-MG systems. The Weber-Morris intraparticle diffusion model showed that intraparticle diffusion is not the rate-limited step for both adsorbates, while the Boyd model suggested both systems could be controlled by film diffusion. The Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm models were used for describing the adsorption process. Of these, the Langmuir model best represented both adsorbents systems (CEN-MB and CEN-MG) giving maximum adsorption capacity (q m) of 110.8 and 77.6 mg g À1 , respectively, at 25°C. Thermodynamics studies showed that both adsorption systems are spontaneous and endothermic.

TA-poly(AN-co-AA) polymer was synthesized through redox polymerization and modified with thiourea (TA) where thioamide groups were introduced to the surface. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), CHNS and Zetasizer were used to characterize the physico-chemical and morphological properties of prepared TA-poly(AN-co-AA). Afterwards, it was confirmed that incorporation of thioamide groups was successful. The adsorption kinetics and equilibrium adsorption data were best described, respectively, by a pseudo-second-order model and Freundlich model. Thermodynamic analysis showed the exothermic and spontaneous nature of MB uptake by TA-poly(AN-co-AA). The developed TA-poly(AN-co-AA) polymer demonstrated efficient separation of MB d...

The clone was secreted the monoclonal antibodies (Mab) either in culture supernatant or ascites fluid and still have a contaminants which need to be purify in order to get the desired antibody. The main objective of this study is to purify the Mab. The monoclonal antibodies were purified by using HiTrap IgM Purification column and Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC). The flow rate for FPLC system was 1 ml/min and 0.3 bar pressures which successfully separated IgM in crude monoclonal antibodies. Before purification process, the recloning of hybridoma cells by limiting dilutions was carried out in this study and it showed the clone C3A8 secreted IgM monoclonal antibody with kappa light chain. The purified IgM was analyzed using sodium dodecyl sulphate polyalcrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) indi...
