However, a critical challenge arises when the residents of such cities do not share the same level of environmental consciousness, potentially eroding the integrity of the green city's brand identity. Hence, this study aims to explore the factors influencing residents' identification with green city branding and assesses how this identification subsequently affects their green citizenship behaviors. Design/methodology/approach-A survey of 1,217 residents from 15 green cities across six countries was conducted and analyzed using SPSS 28.0 for descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM for measurement and structural model analysis. Findings-The results indicate that green city-self connection, green city distinctiveness and environmental benefits significantly impact GCRI, which, in turn, significantly influences green city protection, loyalty and advocacy behaviors. However, green city social and economic benefits did not affect resident identification. Practical implications-The results of this study provide valuable managerial insights for city brand managers, green city developers and governmental representatives. The study underscores the importance of considering residents as crucial internal stakeholders in the creation of a green city identity that effectively promotes sustainable urban living and an eco-friendly culture. Originality/value-This study provides theoretical insights into the relationship between green identification and residents' willingness and commitment to act as ambassadors and promote their city's green values.

Previous studies have shown that there are a number of socialization agents which are responsible for the low political participation among youths. Besides, few studies have also suggested factors, such as, informational media use, interpersonal communication and political knowledge, as the determinants of political participation. However, previous studies have not been emphatic on the connection between socialization agents, political knowledge in terms of factual political knowledge and other communication-related variables in enhancing political participation. Driven by the Situated Learning Theory (SLT) and the Communication Mediation Model (CMM), this study examines the effects of political socialization agents on media and political participation of Pakistani youth. This study also examines the mediating effects of Interpersonal Communication (IC) and Political Knowledge (PK). Using a quantitative method, the hypotheses developed in this study were tested with the data collected through a cross-sectional survey of 228 university students in Pakistan. The data collected using a self-administered questionnaire was analyzed using the Structural Equation Method (SEM). The findings reveal that Family Communicative Environment (FCE), Classroom Activities (CA) and Peer Norms (PN) significantly influence Informational Media Use (IMU) and Political Participation (PP). In addition, IMU significantly influences PK through IC. Similarly, IMU significantly influences PP through IC. Additionally, PK has no significant direct and indirect effects on PP. This study theoretically contributes by highlighting the importance of IMU and IC to increase PP among youths. Practically, this study contributes by providing insights for governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to invest more in political socialization agents. Also, political stakeholders must use the media and IC means efficiently for disseminating political information to increase PP of youth in Pakistan.

This study aims to comprehensively examine the area of research on school bullying by performing a bibliometric analysis of 634 publications between 1996 and August 2022 from the Scopus database. Apart from that, this study highlights the prolific and most influential countries, authors, sources and journal articles in the area, and the research topics on which researchers have been working. The findings showed that the USA, the UK, and China are the most productive countries in school bullying.

Specifically, the suggestion for applying PLS-SEM in media and communication studies have followed to prove the potentials of PLS-SEM using 228 datasets. Hence, the current study involves 7-constructs, 51-item which were adopted and adapted from various scholars to measure the complete process of political socialization of youth. The results of the measurement model show that the out of 51 items 42 items are with loadings greater than 0.50. In applying PLS-SEM, the measurement model gives assurance that indicators have a strong relationship with their corresponding latent constructs. Also, items show the convergent and discriminant validity of corresponding constructs. The implication of the measurement model results proved that PLS will assist communication and media studies that are designed as exploratory studied that will lead to theory building.

Hence, what factors weaken or encourage youth to participate in politics is forefront in academic and non-academic researches. Hence, in view of this context, the role of political socialization agents in engendering political activities among youth cannot be overstated. However, not much research is being carried out in this area. Thus, this study assessed the influence of family communicative environment and peer norms as political socialization agents on media and political participation. A cross-sectional survey was conducted on social sciences students of Pakistani universities. Questionnaire (228) was used to collect data which were analyzed by using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that among other political socialization agents, peer norms was found to be more significant for youth's media consumption and political behavior. In particular, results revealed that information consumption through traditional newspaper; TV and online newspaper led to political participation, centering political expression via interpersonal communication. Moreover, interpersonal communication is found to have direct influence on Pakistani youths political participation. This study provides an empirical justification for the potential of peer group as agent of political socialization for enhancing political activities among youth in Pakistan.
