The aim of the research is to investigate the role of constructive alignment in architecture design studio by aligning the assessment tasks to intended learning outcomes. Framework of first year undergraduate of Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia is studied and used to collect data. To collect the data, various methodologies are used. Rubric is used evaluate students learning and qualitative analysis. Student's grades and their portfolio are assessed to analyse the achieved learning outcomes. In the end it was concluded that Constructive alignment teaching approach should be used in architecture design studio as it helps students to construct knowledge on their own. It helps students to comprehend the subject and transfer understanding to a new context and creates a learning environment in which meaning is created by the learner. Future work can be done on aligning teaching/learning activities to intended learning outcomes.
