هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن علاقة التفكير الإيجابي والهوية المهنية والكفاءة الذاتية الإرشادية لدى ا... more هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن علاقة التفكير الإيجابي والهوية المهنية والكفاءة الذاتية الإرشادية لدى المرشدين المتقدمين وغير المتقدمين لجائزة الملكة رانيا للمرشد التربوي المتميز. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (125) مرشدا ومرشدة، منهم (53) تقدموا لجائزة الملكة رانيا للمرشد المتميز، و(72) من غير المتقدمين للجائزة. وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى كل من التفكير الإيجابي والهوية المهنية والكفاءة الذاتية الإرشادية تعزى لحالة الاشتراك بالجائزة ولصالح المرشدين المشتركين، ولعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة في مستوى متغيرات الدراسة الثلاث تعزى للجنس ومكان العمل والخبرة. وقد أسهم التفكير الإيجابي والهوية المهنية إسهاما ذا دلالة إحصائية في تفسير التباين في مستوى الكفاءة الذاتية الإرشادية لدى المرشدين المتقدمين للجائزة، في حين أسهمت الهوية المهنية في تفسير التباين في مستوى الكفاءة الذاتية الإرشادية لدى المرشدين غير المتقدمين للجائزة.
This study aimed to find out the level of Mindfulness and the level of psychological resilience a... more This study aimed to find out the level of Mindfulness and the level of psychological resilience among undergraduate students in psychological counseling in Jordanian universities, as well as exploring the correlation between Mindfulness and psychological resilience. The sample of the study consisted of (763) male and female students from the undergraduate students in psychological counseling. In order to achieve the goals of the study, the psychological resilience scale was developed, and the use of the Mindfulness scale developed by salahat and the zoghol (2019), The results showed that the arithmetic mean of the Mindfulness scale is mean as a whole over its five dimensions, where it came first in the dimension of Observing with a high mean , and secondly the dimension of (non-judging the internal experience) at an mean level, and in the third rank the dimension of Non reactivity with the internal experience at an mean level, and the fourth rank is the Dimension of Describing At an intermediate level, and finally, Dimension of Acting With Awareness work was at an intermediate level. The results also showed that the psychological resilience as a result is high as a whole, the personal competence dimension came first with a high level, the second dimension is Reflecting and adaptive help-seeking as well as a high level, and the third dimension is Perseverance with a high level, while the fourth dimension Negative affect and emotional response came at an mean level, and as The results showed that there was no negative statistically significant relationship between Mindfulness and psychological resilience

To achieve the study goals, the researchers constructed a scale, which consisted of (50) items, and after insured its validity and reliability, the researchers administrated it among the subjects of the study, whom were 62 male and female teacher, they were located from Ein Albasha Directory. To answer the study questions, a descriptive method was used. The results of the study showed that the level of Teachers' estimations of counseling services provided for gifted students was low; also, there were significant differences due to the gender in estimating counseling services provided for gifted students, in favor the male teachers.

The main aim of this exploratory study is to test 'Service Learning' as a teaching and learning s... more The main aim of this exploratory study is to test 'Service Learning' as a teaching and learning strategy in Jordanian universities by integrating service learning into a counselling course at the Hashemite University. After providing a 12-h service at 10 service locations, a 16-item questionnaire was administered to 60 senior counselling students to assess their perceptions about the service experience. Administrators of the service locations also completed a questionnaire about their level of satisfaction regarding the service provided. Qualitative data were also collected from groups' portfolios, and reflection papers based on students involvement in service learning. The findings of the study revealed that service learning promotes students' learning of the course content, students' sense of connection to their classmates and university, their sense of social responsibility and professional development. Administrators were satisfied with the service and looked forward to future cooperation with the university.

A correlational descriptive method was used. The study population consisted of 30 hearing disabled husband/ wife affiliated with the deaf society in Marka for the year 2016/2017. The Counseling Needs Questionnaire was developed. Results indicate that the counseling needs of spouses with hearing disability were medium. In addition, results show that the level of psychological adaptation was medium on all aspects and that there was a significant negative correlation between aspects of psychological adaptation and counseling needs. This study aimed at investigating the play counseling interventions used by school counselors, th... more This study aimed at investigating the play counseling interventions used by school counselors, their perceptions about and barriers facing them in applying these interventions. To answer the questions of the study a play therapy intervention in elementary school scale was developed and applied on (178) male and female school counselors randomly selected from the elementary schools of Amman and Alzarqa cities. Results showed that female counselors were more using play counseling interventions than males. Results also revealed significant differences between males and females in their perceptions of play counseling interventions. However, no significant differences were found in using play counseling interventions according to school size or counselor's specialty. On the other hand, the most interventions used by counselors were story telling, role playing and drawing, while water, games, sand and sculpt were less used. Results showed that the most barriers to implementing play counseling were lacking of teachers and principals accepance and support, suitable place, training opportunities in play counseling techniques and time required to implement these interventions.

Total of 422-volunteered widow participated in this study; they were randomly chosen from the beneficiaries of one of the social welfare organisation. They responded to the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Results revealed that the level of perceived social support among widowed women was moderate, the support from significant others was the highest as perceived by widows, followed by social support from family, perceived social support from friends was the least. Also, results indicated no significant differences in perceived social support due to widows' age, number and age stages Jordan and to identify the statistically significant differences in perceived social support of children, educational level, place of residence, and Husband's death years. The significant differences were found in the variable related to the place of residence of widowed women.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of self-efficacy, achievement goals (mast... more The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of self-efficacy, achievement goals (mastery goals and performance goals), and metacognition on academic motivation of university students in Jordan. A random sample of 145 students from the Hashemite University participated in the current study. The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, the Goals Inventory, the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory, and the Academic Motivation Inventory were used to measure the four variables consequently. The findings of this study showed that two predictors, mastery goals and metacognition had a significant joint effect on academic motivation. On the other hand, self-efficacy failed to have a significant effect on academic motivation.

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of partnership between the school counselor, ... more The purpose of this study was to identify the level of partnership between the school counselor, families and the local community in Jordan, as well as highlighting the factors that affect this partnership. A "School Counselor Involvement in School-Family-Community Partnerships Scale" was developed and administered to a sample of 152 school counselors in order to measure the level of such partnerships. The results indicated that the school counselors' involvement was more prominent in providing services and information for students and parents, and coordinating efforts to raise the academic level of students. The results revealed that counselors' attitudes, self-esteem, and school climate represented the most salient factors that affected school-family-community partnerships. Findings also recognized barriers to counselors' involvement, including communication with parents and lacking the necessary skills. Based on the findings, it seems that Jordanian school counselors need training and efforts to overcome barriers related to partnership behaviors.

Seventy seven faculty members responded to four measures: Type A behavior scale, emotional intelligence scale, perceived social self-efficacy scale, and work motivation scale. The results of this study revealed that emotional intelligence was positively and significantly related to work motivation. Moreover, this study confirmed the value of emotional intelligence as a significant predictor of work motivation. However, social-self-efficacy and Type A behavior proved to be non significant predictors of work motivation

The sample of the study consisted of (67) male and female teachers working in special education centers with intellectual disability adolescents and adolescents with autism disordered in Amman the capital of Jordan. Researchers had developed the Psychological resilience scale, which was administrated on the participants after computing stability and validity. The results indicated that the level of psychological resilience was moderate among teachers of intellectual disability adolescents, while it was high among teachers of adolescents with autism disorder. Also the results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological resilience differences due to the gender of the teacher.
The objective of this study is to measure the effectiveness of a training program to improve perc... more The objective of this study is to measure the effectiveness of a training program to improve perceived parental efficacy among fathers and mothers in foster families. the study sample consisted of (20) father and mother representing ten foster families. In order to achieve the aim of this study; (Perceived parental efficacy scale) was developed consisting of 34 items. The scale was applied on the sample before and after undergoing the training program which consisted of twelve training session. It was also administered after a fellow-up period of two months. A semi-experimental design with one group was accredited. The results revealed that the training program was proven to be affective in enhancing perceived parental efficacy. Results also reveled statically significant differences in taking advantages of the program in favor of fathers. Results of follow ups noted a continuity of impact for the training program.
