These peatlands globally provide vital environmental benefits, especially in case of their enormous carbon storage potential. Peat land also functions as a source of livelihood for the community, especially for agricultural activities, and this will lead to the potential loss of carbon stock in peatlands. This study examines plants' potential to create Carbon to offset carbon dioxide emissions and different land use types. The study focused on Central and West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Peat soil samples were collected from various types of land from 0-15, 15-45, and 45-100 cm depth and analyzed for physical and chemical parameters. The cylinder chamber method with infrared gas analysis model EGM-4 was used to measure CO2 emissions. Plant carbon sequestration was measured in a 6.25 m2 plot in the study sites of Central Kalimantan. The study showed that type of commod...

The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design. The first factor is the dose of vermicompost 0, 60, 90, 120 and 150 g vermicompost per polybag equivalent to 0, 10, 15, 20 and 25 t. vermicompost ha-1. The second factor is the provision of plant growth regulators Agrogibb 40 SL given in the generative phase consisting of 2 two levels, namely: 0 and 0.5 mL L-1 with 4 replications. The results showed that the application of vermicompost fertilizer on spodosols was able to increase soil pH and available P, but organic C and total soil N tended to decrease, plants were able to grow significantly better. There was no interaction between the application of vermicompost fertilizer and plant growth regulators giberelin on the yield of melons. K...

The research was carried out in September - December 2020, located in the plastic house of the Experimental Garden Installation Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya. This experiment used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 (two) treatment factors with 3 (three) replications. The first factor was the concentration of POC administration consisting of 4 (four) levels (0, 3, 6 and 9 mL of POC L-1 water) and the second factor is the dose of NPK 15: 15: 15 fertilizer consisting of 4 (four) levels ( 0, 1, 2 and 3 g NPK polybag-1). The results showed that there was an interaction between the administration of 3 mL POC L-1 water and 3 g NPK polybag-1 on shoot length (77.57 cm) and the treatment of 9 mL POC L-1 water and 3 g NPK polybag-1 on weight. fres...

Training and assistance need to be done considering that the Tahai Baru village community does not yet have the knowledge and skills and do not yet know the technology. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the people of Tahai Baru Village, Maliku District, Pulang Pisau Regency, in seeing alternative uses of natural resources, especially cangkordang, and increasing community income through processing and packaging of processed cangkordang products. Some approaches are carried out through counseling, training, mentoring, exposure of activities, and evaluating the sustainability and success of the program. The results of the activity showed that the community of Tahai Baru village had...

The design used Randomized Block Design arranged in a factorial pattern consists of two factors. The first factor was dosage of chicken manure consisting of three levels of 0, 20 and 30 t ha -1 and the second factor was the dosage of N-P-K fertilizer consisting of four levels ie 0, 125, 250 and 500 kg ha -1 . The results showed that the application of manure with doses of 30 t ha -1 of grass Brachiaria humidicola grew tended to be higher, and N-P-K fertilizer with doses of 500 kg ha -1 number of tiller per real clump (49,50 tillers) tends to be higher (124,9 cm) N-P-K fertilizer with dosage of 500 kg ha -1 , without manure obtained fresh plant weight grass Brachiaria humidicola highest 5.807 g m -2

Research used Complete Randomized Design factorial with two factors. The first factor was the reduction of P fertilizer from the dose of 150 kg.ha-1 consisting of 4 levels, namely P0: 100% (2.944 g/polybag), P1: 75% (2.208 g/polybag), P2: 50% (1.472 g/polybag), and P3: 25% (0.736 g/polybag). The second factor was the addition of fish pond mud waste (L) from the dose of 15 ton.ha-1 consisting of 4 levels, namely L0: 25% (73.595 g/polybag), L1: 50% (147.19 g/polybag), L2: 75% (220.78 g/polybag), and L3: 100% (294.38 g/polybag). Each treatment combination was replicated 3 times to obtain 48 experimental units. The results showed that (1) fish pond mud waste was effective to reduce the use of P fertilizer, (2) the reduction of P fertilizer up to 50% from recommendation dosage by addition of fish pond sludge w...

This research aimed: (1) to identify the dominant plant species in ex-gold mining area; (2) to analyze the genetic profile of phytoremediator plants from ex-gold mining area; and (3) to compare the genetic profile of heavy metal phytoremediator plants from ex-gold mining area with the same plant species from the non-mining area. The samples of this study were Cyperus sp., Lycopodium sp., and Melastoma sp. The research procedures carried out include sample collection, DNA isolation, DNA amplification with PCR, and DNA visualization with electrophoresis. The results show that the dominant plant species of ex-gold mining area are Cyperus sp., Lycopodium sp., and Melastoma sp. The genetic profile analysis of dominant plant species of ex-gold mining area shows that no DNA bands appeared from the target gene as the result of amplification using specific primers of Metallothionein gene. The result of RAPD analysis using OPA-04 universal primers show that at 500-750 bp there are differences in DNA bands that appeared between the samples. DNA bands that appeared in the genetic profile of phytoremediator plants are thought to be the representation of the gene that responsible for heavy metals tolerance.
