Being situated at the top of the world within the Himalayan belt, Bhutan experiences fast and severe climate change and variability as compared to other countries. Climate change adoption is a must option for Bhutan who's mitigation have little impact on global climate change. Majority of population depends on agriculture and rice is staple diet of Bhutan. Achieving rice self-sufficiency is very important goal for Bhutan. Climate change adoption strategies such as building resilient agriculture system can enhance the food production. GIS technology can be used for planning and implementing climate change adoption strategies in the field of agriculture like mapping new irrigation system and watershed management plan. This work aims at solving irrigation water crisis in Umling through application of GIS in mapping new irrigation canal and identifying watershed boundary for watershed management.

The World Economic Forum in 2009 reported that NCDs are more detrimental to global economy than fiscal crises or natural disasters. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are chronic non-infectious diseases which don’t spread from person to person and are not cause by infectious agents. This report has assessed the burdens and prevalence NCDs in Punakha Hospital.
