Despite the use of AR in numerous disciplines such as architecture, e-learning system, entertainment, medicine, engineering, and e-commerce, it has also potential implications in education. Therefore, in this study, augmented reality use in education is considered in all aspects. After the advantages and disadvantages of AR use in education is explained detailed, the phases of augmented reality book development are discussed. As a result, researchers should work on experimental studies to investigate how AR applications can be applied in educational settings in the future.

ARGE3D program was developed in order to display the static 3D objects included in the geometrical shapes unit in the sixth grade mathematics book. Quasiexperimental mixed research method was utilized in the study. The sample consisted of sixth grade students in Aksaray. One control and one experimental group were established in each school (n=100). The experimental groups received four weeks of instruction via ARGE3D and the control groups received standard textbook instruction. Computer Skills Attitude Test, Computer Skills Self-Efficacy Test and were used to collect the quantitative data. On the other hand, semi-structured interviews with both the students and the teachers, and video captures during the implementation were used to collect qualitative data. The results showed that ARGE3D did not significantly affect students' computer-skills self-efficacy and computer skills attitudes in preand post-application tests.

This study therefore tested levels of computer anxiety (CARS) and computer thoughts (CTS) in Turkish and United Kingdom undergraduates with reference to culture group difference, regularity of use (or home use) and use of university computer facilities. A substantial minority of students (32-33%) reported computer anxiety in both groups, but more UK (41%) than Turkish students (21%) were deficient in positive self-concept (CTS). Reference to the subscales in the two measures pinpointed cultural differences disguised at scale level, and gender differences were evident across rather than within culture groups. As expected, positive self-concept was associated with use of computer facilities (r's = 0 to 0.25, p < .001), and anxiety was associated more weakly with avoidance (r's = 0 to-0.18, p < .001). Results suggest that computer confidence (implying motivation and engagement) should not be assumed to exist in the agenda for wider participation. Also within and between group differences indicate that there is no typical or stereotypical student profile in approach to computer activity.

Its importance is due to its facilitation of experience-sharing among teachers, especially with candidate teachers, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and additionally, diffusion of innovations-related changes. To this end, an internet-based database was created by compiling the case studies obtained by interviews and observations in schools. This database was then transformed into a Web-library equipped with visual elements by means of an efficient classification system.

The participants included 308 voluntary senior students attending courses in a college of education of a public university in Turkey. The items were extracted to their related factors by the principal axis factoring method. The results showed a 3 factor solution: Perceived Educational Merit, Perceived Use and Development in the Class, and Perceived Accessibility. Descriptive results revealed that preservice teachers think learning objects are easy to develop, use, and access; have an educational value; and are useful in teaching and learning. Replications with different samples are recommended to enhance and validate the questionnaire. Similar studies are also recommended to reveal innovative uses of learning objects in teacher education.
