The experiment was conducted in the laboratary of department of horticulture ANDUA&T, Ayodhya (U.P.), India during 2018. The CRD design with 6 Treatments and 3 replications has been used under the study. The preservative has been taken was aluminum sulfate and bleaching powder along with the distilled water as control and others denoted as T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 respectively. The result indicates that aluminum sulfate to be the best preservative with White Prosperity and Red Beauty for maximum floret opening, increase in spike length, and longer vase life within the western U.P. for the season.

The changing life style of Indians with a tendency to "say it with flower" and celebration of festivals like Valentine's day, Christmas, Mather's day has created a tremendous demand of cut flowers like rose, carnation, gerbera, gladiolus, and tuberose. In cut flower industry, the most important aspect is post-harvest handling in order to maintain freshness and original colour of the flowers for longer period after harvest. Generally, gladiolus flower spikes last for 7-8 days in tap water (Singh and Sharma, 2003, Singh et al., 2008). The qualitative and quantitative post-harvest losses of gladiolus can be reduced by adopting improved technologies like harvesting at proper stage, use of floral preservatives and bud opening solution, pulsing, precooling, improved

This is a healing fire from the Vedic science of Ayurveda. The tremendous amount of energy during the fire is resonating and a magnetic field is produced that strengthens positive energy and prevents negative energy. People around the world have experienced Agnihotri’s power to reduce stress, clarity of mind and improvement in full health. Agnihotra, homa has significant effect on plant growth and development. Homa farming methods are used in different parts of the world to increase the yield and disease resistance of produce. When done regularly every day, it enables the atmosphere to receive cosmic energy from planetary bodies such as the sun and moon, which have a positive impact on humans, plants and animals, leading to good health, balanced environment and harmony.

Spikes were harvested at early in the morning having 1-2 florets showed colour from the main experiment field. The maximum 10.33 days vase-life of flower was found with continuous opening of florets, increase in spike length, absorption of vase solution, first increase thereafter decreased, and moderate florets drooping could be observed, when gladiolus spikes were pulsed in to 20% pulsing solution for 24 hours.
