This paper investigates to what extent is this expressive power exploited in practice. Research concentrated on DL languages used as well as on types of classes and number of axioms defined was conducted on selected ontologies. Analysis results and suggestions for further research are presented.

Various information technologies are already used to support those processes and their mechanisms, and new ones are continually emerging. The use of blockchain technology is lately suggested in many areas, including knowledge management. This paper aims to identify what are the most discussed benefits of using blockchain technology in knowledge management, considering their features, especially for specific processes. It also explores possible advantages and disadvantages of the use of blockchain technology, on which depends its real adoption in organizations as support for knowledge management processes.

As technology advanced, more and more ICT solutions have been developed with the idea of making a number of activities easier for visually impaired. These solutions have been proven applicable in many different areas, including educational and professional activities. In this paper, an overview of the role of ICT and many possible software solutions in making everyday life of visually impaired students and professionals easier is given along with the conclusion about effectiveness of these solutions and possible future trends in the development of similar ICT innovations.

One of the ways to detect and recognize while at the same time identifying such aircraft is to perform air observation from the ground. A technique called Visual Aircraft Recognition (VACR) has been practiced in training soldiers to recognize and find an incoming aircraft from a distance using binoculars. Remembering so many types of aircraft have their challenge. To ease the task, we have designed and developed an intelligent military aircraft recognition and identification system using the combination of Back Propagation Neural Networks (BPNN) and Information Fusion to speed up the recognition and identification. We use 13 aircraft features fused into five primary ones as the inputs to the BPNN for the recognition, while the identification uses Hamming Distance to the recognition results. With 155 data consisting of 85 military aircraft and helicopters and 70 civilian aircraft and helicopters and applying the 80:20 scheme for the training and test data, our system can obtain 95.33% and 87% accuracy at the training phase and the test phase. It also succeeds in recognizing and identifying a new military aircraft that is not in the dataset, while the Information Fusion can speed up the recognition and identification by up to 6 seconds. This impacts the acceleration of aircraft recognition and identification.

To achieve this goal, knowledge management benefits from the continuous and rapid development of information technology. Various technologies and tools can be used to support knowledge management processes and the most prominent for organizations of all sizes is Web 2.0. But Web 3.0 is starting to give new possibilities to better manage knowledge and thus gain a competitive advantage. This paper analyses current opportunities that Web 2.0, with its user-generated content, provides to organizations – especially in a turbulent environment, by facilitating knowledge management processes. Web 2.0 tools are examined according to their use for specific processes and their future potential for organizations. The Paper also investigates possibilities of Web 3.0 features, such as decentralization and connectivity, as well as the use of artificial intelligence an...

It introduces multimedia poll as a technique suitable for knowledge elicitation that would otherwise use classic poll technique. Problems in implementation are discussed using our system as an example and possible solutions to those problems are offered. Artificial intelligence techniques can be added to multimedia poll techniques for creation semi-structured interviews (like genetic algorithms and decision trees), and data mining techniques for further analysis of results. Pro and con analysis of using multimedia is also presented.

In this article a proposal is given on how to select the most effective elicitation technique based on numerous factors that are divided into three groups.

The results of their proposals, as well as of proposals of CSF for implementation of ready-to-use systems, are given. In the expert systems development most of these factors can be applied, additionally referring to some special characteristics of expert systems. Because of the particularity of expert systems and because of the importance of the problem domain and the knowledge gathering, some additional critical success factors must be determined.

The legal domain has also been explored concerning ontologies, both on the general as on the sub-domain level. In this paper are explored problems of formal ontology development regarding areas

Stoga je bitno prepoznati ih, formalno zapisati i omoguciti njihovo koristenje. Uz nekoliko definicija i klasifikacija poslovnih pravila, ovaj clanak opisuje prednosti koristenja poslovnih pravila, navodi cega se treba pridržavati prilikom njihovog formaliziranja, te daje pregled nekoliko mogucih nacina prikaza.

In this paper is presented an original computer program for technique selection and a changed program that was aimed at improving the selection. Both programs use certain factor values as a starting point, but the first program is based on a technique grading and the second on decision trees. Comparison and testing results for both programs are presented.

Knowledge management is the key factor in achieving this goal and consequently in a development of a successful organization. This approach to handling organisation’s knowledge assets includes various elements and processes and has several supportive infrastructure elements, one of them being information technology. Implementation of knowledge management nowadays implies, or is even unimaginable without the use of at least some of this technology. Because of its importance, there is a wealth of information technology solutions for knowledge management aimed at various purposes and types of organizations, covering some aspects or offering integrated solution. This paper gives an overview of literature covering the research of use of information technology for knowledge management. It also gives...
