The evidences in literature reports that connecting the implant (rigidly fixed to the bone) and the tooth (attached to the bone with a periodontal ligament) is risky as it may lead the failure of prosthesis hence various connection types such as rigid and non-rigid have been proposed by various authors

Broca in 1866 coined the term odontoma; he defined it as a tumour formed by an overgrowth of complete dental tissues. Based on clinical, radiographic and histological features, odontomas are classified into complex and compound variety. WHO defines complex odontoma as malformation in which all of the dental tissues are represented, and individual tissues mainly are well formed but occur in disorderly pattern.

Oral lesions produced by this parasitic infestation are rare [1-7]. Diagnosis is usually made on microscopic examination. Following is a case report of a 19-year-old female patient from central India who reported to our centre with a swelling in the left cheek, which was diagnosed as cysticercosis on Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC).

They are formed over the unerupted or partially erupted tooth like fluid filled sac and can further lead to infections if left untreated. Follicular cysts are benign and are most common in the age group of 20-30years. Smaller follicular cysts do not show any symptoms but as it grows larger than 2cm, patient starts experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity, swelling or displacement of teeth occasionally. Generally the treatment of choice is enucleation or marsupialization along with infected tooth removal, but the treatment options may vary depending on size and location of the cystic lesion.

Oral cysticercosis is a rare event, and it represents a difficulty in clinical diagnosis. A case of oral cysticercosis in a 28 year old male who presented a painless swelling in the lower right corner of lip is reported. An excisional biopsy was performed and histopathological examination revealed a cystic cavity containing the tapeworm.
